Kylie singles starting with I
IBIY is my favourite, closely followed by IYE. IYWWMN is my least fave. I have just never been able to find a melodic hook. That pianist goes all over the place. And while both vocals are strong, they just don’t seem to fit with the instrumental very well.

Melanie C | 2022-2024 Festivals & Live Events
Aw congrats Melanie! So nice to see the audience absolutely loving her. And rightly so! She seemed to be on excellent form. Looked and sounded stunning.

She’s sounding really lovely from that clip. And she’s drawn a good crowd too! I would love just to know what she chose for her set list.

Kylie & Jake Shears
The Other Boys for me. But they’re all great!

Kylie & Jake Shears - Voices ● new collab
It’s a lovely track. Some top tier Kylie vocals on this. Also worth listening to Devil Came Down The Dance Floor - very DISCO album vibes.

Rank the Lead Singles
01. Confide In Me 02. Padam Padam 03. I Believe In You 04. Can't Get You Out Of My Head 05. Slow 06. All The Lovers 07. Spinning Around 08. Better The Devil You Know 09. Dancing 10. Into The Blue 11. Say Something 12. Hand On Your Heart 13. I Should Be So Lucky 14. 2 Hearts 15. What Kind of Fool (Heard All That Before) 16. Word Is Out 17. Some Kind of Bliss Say Something came out surprisingly low for me. Magic would’ve been much higher, had that been the lead.

Poll: Best Dannii Track in the last few years
We Could Be The One - with considerable ease.

Padam Padam ● 1st single
I’m starting to think Kylie has really cracked it with this song. Because it’s so short, I can’t help but listen to it at least twice every time. She’s getting exponentially more streams from me with this single.

Think back. What'd you expect from their solo music careers?
I think I would’ve always expected Geri to go full force into a solo career. She was so driven and creative. But the level of success surpassed my wildest expectations. I never expected Victoria to attempt to be urban. That blind-sided me. But I did like Out of Your Mind at the time. I thought Emma would’ve been the most successful soloist, given her versatile voice and mass appeal. But they took her down the mum-pop route. I’d have expected S Club 7 style material from her, keeping it light and youthful. I’d say the two Melanies delivered somewhere near to my expectations, musically-speaking.

Padam Padam ● 1st single
Adding to clamour of adoration for this stunning single and video. The song is seductive, haunting and slightly unhinged. Not to mention … an absolute banger. Of the video, I particularly enjoy the use of sped-up / slowed-down cinematography to produce the twitchy, True Blood-esque movements. And styling and choreography is spot on. Kylie keeps it fresh ✨

Favourite BMG album cover
Disco for me. The typography of that era was not my favourite. But the photography has a strong concept, which is appropriately reminiscent of the Best of Blondie album. Golden, I didn’t like the lighting/filter - a bit heavy handed.

Neon Nights ● RATE RESULTS
This rate was the first time I’d listened to Nervous. It’s probably the one track that has really grown on me since then. It’s an ear worm.

Tension ● 16th album discussion
With the title ‘Tension’, they’ve missed an opportunity for a shot of Kylie on a high wire. But I do love the beauty styling, typography and the high impact colour way. Not sure of the relevance of the diamond. But maybe all will become clear.

Most underrated song on: X
For me it’s Stars. Leagues ahead of All I See and 2Hearts. It’s got an infectious, euphoric quality, which still grabs me to this day. Almost went for Nu-di-ty, because it seems generally hated (and I like it for its banging beat and pure silliness). It’s a shame it comes so late in the album, because it might work better as an elongated segue sort of thing.

Spice Girls • All Released Songs, Rarities and Demos Lists
Frustrating that the writer says Melanie C is the only one whose voice wasn’t lacking “tone or character”, and then credits “louder baby, louder baby” to her. Shows how much attention he’s actually paid to their voices. The Mels sound completely different.

Say SomethInc.
I think he thinks it’s a compliment. But he’s obviously a bit of an arrogant jerk. By using the word “rubbish” he’s minimising the legitimacy of Kylie’s work. And frankly he’s “negging” her. She’s a creative powerhouse. And pop music is no less valid than other genres. Edit: Also, pretending he struggles to remember her name … please.

Favourite Kylie Song containing a number in the title?
Perhaps a little obvious but it’s The One for me. 1 The One 2 Shelby 68 3 100 Degrees

Really love ‘It Won’t Work Out’. Gorgeous melody, lyrics and vocals. A nicely heartfelt delivery, and she makes it sound easy. So it’s always a pleasant listen.

Mel B - Seahorse on The Masked Singer UK
Thanks for sharing Jay. I really enjoyed that. She was a little tentative in the beginning. But she was really owning it by the first chorus. I think the song was a perfect choice for her! Especially given everything she’s been through. Vocally, she was able to showcase a bit more of her power and individual sound. I love hearing her sing again. So whatever the vehicle, it’s got to be a positive thing. She’s re-establishing herself as a singer, rather than just a TV personality. And I’m here for it!

Melanie C • General Discussion
Can’t wait! As an official honorary gay, she couldn’t really refuse Eurovision, could she?!

Game: Spice Girls - Family Fortunes! - The Results!
Fab game. Great result, well deserved. Probably should’ve checked where Croke Park is, but didn’t want to cheat. Just remembered the headlines about poor sound quality in 2019.

Game: Spice Girls - Family Fortunes! - The Results!
Yes! Thrilled to be clawing my way up the leaderboard. I quite rate On The Horizon (sorry Melanie). I reckon it would’ve charted just as well as HICA, had it benefitted from the hype of being the lead single.

Game: Spice Girls - Family Fortunes! - The Results!
Take Me Home is also my fave. But I thought Walk Of Life might be more popular. Glad to be wrong on that one!

Game: Spice Girls - Family Fortunes! - The Results!
Dammit. I thought Sporty was the most popular here! Should’ve gone with my heart.

Melanie C | 2022-2024 Festivals & Live Events
Great news! I’m sure Melanie will turn it out (as ever). This is going to be a big moment for her. I’d like to see a set list something like: I Turn To You Never Be The Same Again Say You’ll Be There Northern Star Who I Am Blame It On Me Who Do You Think You Are (with Sink The Pink) Think About It Next Best Superstar Loving You (with Matt Cardle) When You’re Gone (with Matt Cardle - assuming Bryan is busy) 2 Become 1 (with Emma Bunton)
