  1. BB Can has outshone BB US for the past five years so I'm really excited for this!! The cancellation was baffling and very disappointing, so I'm delighted it's back

I COMPLETELY agree. I was so disappointed in the Canadian version in its first go that I actually refused to watch it so I missed a couple seasons but the last two (or three?) have been WAAAAAAYYYY better than the US version. Although - I can do without the obvious product placement.

  2. Right?! Doesn't feel like that long ago at all. Really making me feel like I need to make my next amazon purchase a freaking Zimmer frame.

 Hahaha, I had to look up what a Zimmer frame was and as soon as the image came up I burst out laughing, coffee everywhere!

  3. ^ I love this. It's so true, and one of the reasons they've always had such a special place in my heart. Three, in particular, has a certain darkness that's just perfect in times of reflection.

    YAS!

Each album completely emulates specific eras of my life. I can remember where I lived, who I dated, or what big life changes were happening when I put in any one of their albums.

  4. Wanted to thank y'all for the support - I ended up raising $1015 for my local children's hospital this year! AND I totally survived what ended up being 25 hours of gaming due to the time change.

I finished Assassin's Creed Origins and while I need to do a couple trophy cleanup runs - I ended up clocking over 120 hours :o

All of the forums I read said people platinumed in 60-80 so maybe I'm a completionist, really methodical, or they lie!

I booted up Skyrim VR the other day and it blew my mind. I didn't play for long because I needed to charge the motion controllers and now that I'm moving I might just wait to set it up in the new place, but if you've ever played Skyrim before - that opening scene on the cart was ridiculous - you're IN the cart, you're looking around up/down/all around and I may have cried a single tear. Shut up, no I didn't.

I wish I could get into shooters but I just get angry when I play them. My aim with a gun is far worse than if I use a bow/arrow or magical staff. And I get really jumpy when things start shooting at me.

  5. I hadn't really listened to Sugababes in a while to be honest, but - I've been listening to them a lot lately and realized that I'm currently going through something in life that was very prevalent in my past when I WAS listening to them a lot - so they're definitely my go-to when I need to reflect, be sad, and feel empowered all in one! Listened to 'Conversation's Over', 'Situation's Heavy', 'Ace Reject' and all of One Touch and the leaked MKS songs a couple times this week.
  6. I still love this show and had more problems with previous seasons than I do with the latest - I like the quantity and quality of characters and the dynamics changing.

I felt a little redeemed in that I asked my partner a couple episodes ago "So... Carl..." and it turned out to be true but I still didn't think it would because of his place in the comics - it was one of those untouchable characters, I thought. I enjoy that readers of the comics can still be surprised and that it follows it's own canon.

I'm very much looking forward to its return in February!!

  7. Must read the book first. I bought it YEARS ago when this was announced and I have yet to read the book. I don't even want to watch the trailer until I read the book. Welp. Guess I'll go start reading the book now...

    (Very excited for this!)

  8. Sorry! :kink: Blame Sam, it was her reminder PM that took the last space in my inbox :heehee:

There is now room for about five messages if anyone else wants to nominate xx

I just sent my draft message to you but I realize it's late and may not count, sorry about that - I've been MIA!

Thanks guys! Only two more sleeps for me and then I get to marathon! I've raised $585 this year so far, although I added a stretch goal that if I can raise $1000, I'll get a gaming tattoo! *fingers crossed*

I just got my grocery delivery for game day and I've got loads of healthy snacks to eat throughout the day and I still have a dog to walk so it's an excuse to take brief breaks and walk around.

Millions of people in North America take part in Extra Life every year, so the 24 hour gaming thing is pretty common I'd say.

Can I also say how much I'm enjoying Assassin's Creed: Origins right now?!!?! It has reminded me of Horizon Zero Dawn in some ways. I never played any other AC games before but I watched a couple when my bf played them - and tbh I got bored of the gameplay, but I don't find this one that way at all! HIPPOS CAN RUN FAST!

  10. It's so cheesy but... you know when someone asks, "do you remember where you were and what you were doing when such-and-such happened?" This is one of those for me and it was at the very beginning.

I was 11 or 12 when Wannabe was released and it was a Friday afternoon... haha! My Mum and I were driving to the video store as we did every Friday and the radio was on. It was the "premiere" of this new single by a group - but I had completely missed the name when the radio DJ said it. However, I remember telling my Mum to be quiet and turned up the volume within the first few seconds because I was completely enthralled. When we got to the video store I stayed in the car until the song was over and after that moment, I was already obsessed.

I saved my allowance for when the album was out in stores and bought it the day it came out, went to my friends house where we opened the album together and put the CD in while we fawned over the album insert. The exact moment I opened it and saw the red background with this girl in a black dress - I was done for. Victoria has been my favorite since that exact moment.

Awh, that gave me all the feels.

  12. I just preordered The Sims 4 and Assassin's Creed: Origins!

Also, sidenote, for the fourth year I'm taking part in the Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon on November 4th. It's a global fundraiser where you pick a local children's hospital to sponsor and take on donations where all the proceeds go to that hospital and play video games for 24 hours. I've raised about 3k so far!

Things I've learned over the years: sugar crashes are real things, you can take a walk and still play games on your phone for it to count, smart people (not me) play board games instead or in addition which helps the eyes, and if you play Civilization you can accidentally play longer than 24 hours...

  13. I used to see every single movie ever having once worked at a movie theatre and then at a video store... but over the last few years my viewing has turned more to television shows than movies.

I think the only films I saw this year were watched on the plane rides to and from my trip to the UK and I didn't hate any of them.

    Hidden Figures

    Lego Batman Movie

    Power Rangers

    Wonder Woman

    Table 19

    Spider-Man: Homecoming
