I dont think I've ever listened to Stages in full either. I noticed it was the only one of her solo albums to be completely ignored in her memoir aswell.

I was always fascinated at how much of those Victoria's Secret copies of the Greatest Hits actually sold at the time of release.

Its bizarre that she'd hate the Spiceworld track she shines on most vocally but shes entitled to her opinion. I think Do It is fantastic.

I enjoyed the book. She was very complimentary about Geri throughout and credited her for being the main writer of Stop, Viva Forever and Too Much. The recording of Forever sounded even worse than I expected. She actually told their manager Nancy to schedule her recording sessions alone as she didn’t want to see the other 3. She only did the album as she feared a backlash from the press and fans if she left. I thought it was quite sad when she said she and the others couldn’t remember much of 1997 and 98 at all.

I’d like Emma’s for completions sake. I don’t think she’d reveal anything too juicy though e.g her and Fuller having a relationship.

So she’s going to talk about Mel B bullying her. Interesting I thought she might have decided not to. Last time she hinted at it was the 2007 documentary. Can’t wait to read.

Christmas albums aren’t my thing at all. She should take this success on board and write a strong original material album. Give us the sequel to Free Me that we never got (sorry LIM but you weren’t) She’s definitely capable of more than paint by numbers covers.

Maybe she’s just indifferent to the royals. You don’t have to be hater or a royalist.

Too Lost In You Change About a Girl (Keisha mix) Round Round Ugly New Year No Can Do I forgot how good About a Girl with Keisha was. We're lucky we managed to get it. Not a big fan of Jade on it.

So sad how in 2000 she was on top career wise with two solo number 1s and a successful multi platinum album yet she wasn’t happy personally. Just shows how success can have a price attached. I wonder if she’ll divulge on recording most of Forever alone? Would be interesting to hear her thoughts on that. A very unhappy time I’m sure.

Probably my fave Little Mix single. Love the lyrical message and production.

She should just sing the entire Free Me album and the singles from A Girl like me. Perfect set list :wub: In all seriousness though it’s good she’s still pushing the solo music thing. I wish Geri would but I think she’s done.

Well obviously I disagree as I adore the album. I was also talking about lyrical meaning not music production. Tracks like Look at Me, Mi Chico Latino, Walkaway, Someone's Watching Over Me, You're In a Bubble, Lift Me Up are all very Geri solo. Perhaps Goodnight Kiss could've been a group track.

Neither Northern Star or Schizophonic felt like they could’ve been Spice Girl albums for me. Maybe Bag It Up was the only one that potentially could’ve been a group hit but everything else not at all.

That was because none of them liked him more than him being the one who’d left first.

Why? They hadn't been an active group for 7 years at that point. Did they have some kind of superiority over whether or not Geri could return? They were all ex Spice Girls by then and had been for the best part of a decade. Your "Madame Horner" line pretty much says it all of course.

I thought Song For Her had potential. There was a good pop song there. It just needed a punchier polished production and some work on the verses and vocals. The chorus was really spicy. Some Mel C ad libs aswell :wub:

I definitely agree that it would be of the highest insults to Heidi to studio re record the 2.0 stuff. Live is completely different.

Geri will get criticism no matter what, doesn't matter what she does, what she says or who she supports or doesn't. Many just have an issue with her personality. Its sad but its what it is. All I know is she is a good person and has always tried to make a difference in her own way.
