  1. Girls Aloud were supposed to end in 2006 with their first Greatest Hits. It was its unexpected success that gave them another two studio albums. I think Girls Aloud concentrating on the UK market only helped their longevity aswell as they got long breaks from each other between album eras. The Spice Girls never had that luxury as they were global and needed to do the promo that being a global band entailed.
  2. The only good thing about them doing Glastonbury is the professional filmed for TV aspect. Otherwise I think their own tour will always be better.
  3. So happy for them
  4. They performed it as a fivesome for the entire European leg of the 1998 tour up until Geri’s last gig in Helsinki. Fantastic song so energetic in the same way as Spice Up Your Life.
  5. Its ok not one I can see myself listening to a lot though. I was hoping for something closer to Naked or Take Me Homes greatness. I do understand its a demo.
  6. Didn't Emma believe it was only an album track until the last tour?
  7. I think they could've made Geris talky vocals a bit more amplified in places but other than that I think Feed Your Love is a nice treat. Its good to finally hear the entire song.
  8. I'd rather a 25th anniversary final album with all five. I feel that would be the best ending to their story over just another tour.
  9. I think she had potential with her first album but for me launched with a really weak song. The album had much better tracks to launch with than Not Such An Innocent Girl. The Kylie battle really did her no favours either, then to follow up almost half a year later with A Mind of its Own (I do like it) as single 2 was just crazy tactics. The first era was so badly handled. Then she went down the whole Hip hop/Damon Dash route which absolutely did not work for her at all and was always going to create negative reaction from the media. Everything finally amounted to one double A side single with two very contrasting song choices that made her look even more unsure of what direction she was going in. It was all so messy.
  10. Wannabe will certainly never be forgotten, it represents something much bigger than just a pop song. I think Baby One More Time is the only other debut from that 90s period that had and continues to have a similar “power”. Wannabe has more substance though as the girls wrote it themselves. Happy 25th birthday :magic:
  11. I recall her saying during the Schizophonic times that she wanted to tour but wanted to wait until she had released a second album so she had more material to work with. Of course by the end of 2001 she was “spent” with the music industry so a tour in 2002 was sadly not going to happen.
  12. Didn’t the Brighton date sell out or did I imagine that? I am sure that’s a denden memory. I think this tour was too ambitious and her management mishandled it badly. It should’ve been shorter maybe 5 or 6 dates just to test the waters. The Tickled Pink gig seemed like a taster of what was going to happen, I’m sure it would’ve been fabulous :snif:
  13. What a day I remember denden forum exploded :D
  14. Best - Never Give Up on the Good Times Least - If You Wanna Have Some Fun (best song on Forever after Goodbye for me but its unecessary length brings it down)
  15. Mel B was likely pregnant before Geri left though probably didn't know yet. Actually Phoenix was a little premature so maybe she wasn't. I dont believe Geri not leaving would have stopped them from getting pregnant though.
  16. Another full album in 1998 - 99 was never going to be a possibility anyway with or without Geri due to the pregnancies. Mel B and Victoria were always going to take a break and that break was always going to lead to solo ambitions which in turn would change priorities.
  17. It sounds like it would've fitted in well on Spice alongside Last Time Lover and Naked.
  18. They mimed to 1997 vocals Stop in 2007 so anything is possible
  19. Woman with Geri and Song For Her with Mel/Victoria would be nice additions to the five piece catalogue. ❤️
  20. I need to do a full relisten  Cannot believe it’s been 22 years though. :o ^_^
  21. New music seems like the absolute logical next step for them especially in regards to touring. They need more material to inject some life into the setlist.
  22. Fave - If You Wanna Have Some Fun (Just a tad too long but otherwise a fun spicy track) Least - Wasting My Time (really dislike the structure and production of this track)
  23. Denden forum always springs to mind when U think of Woman  I hope it does finally make its way out there.
  24. Really excited for Feed Your Love if true.
  25. I like all but after much thought Fave - Never Give Up on the Good Times Least - Move Over
