This was cute and nostalgic. They were the year of the furry red noses too, can remember them.

That was one of my fave videos so far on the channel, reflective on the past and emotional yet heartwarming and sincere. Good music choices aswell. Love seeing Ana Maria aswell, she's a Spice legend in her own right. :heart:

Definitely not a flop, the first spice related release I'd call a flop would be Word Up. A number 2 single will never be a flop in any context.

If they are they are an extremely iconic and memorable flash in the pan. Their memory will outlive many popbands who doubled or tripled their discography. 2019s stadium tour one member down with no new material spoke for itself. I'd say they were a bit more than flash in the pan though. A group like Hear'say I'd call a flash in the pan. Three albums and 10 singles in their original run is about average or just below average really.

Tell Me Why not being a single was the best thing to not happen from the Forever era. I believe some things are meant to be, that was one.

I dont think Reason is bad at all, its no Northern Star but still a great record. It was more the time gap that damaged her. October 1999 - March 2003 was a big time lapse for her then young audience. I think many of her fans moved on to artists like Pink during that time.

I personally don't care if they do it or not. Their own tour will always be the better option anyway.

Exactly. The majority who do comment on them enjoy them and hope the music that accompanies them will be released. Obviously Geri has no longer got enough filmed content to put out a video every week which is fair enough and was always going to happen.

Geri on Popstars the Rivals :wub: Its a pity she didn’t release a new single around that time but I do respect her for not making her judging role about her and the show got all her focus. I still feel so proud of Geri for being involved in the creation of Girls Aloud. I feel many forget she was. :heart: As for AMOIO I dont mind it, it just wasn't the right choice for second single.

I dont judge Geri for leaving when she did, she did what she had to do for her mental health at the time and that was more important than releasing albums. The girls got so big so fast and didn't get the space from each other they needed to have longevity. The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long and you have burned so very brightly.

Spice Girls don't have a big enough catalogue to compete with ABBA let's be honest. Do they need to be in the same league? Nope the Spice Girls have their own legacy and impact in a short explosive way that has stood the test of time. I dont think solo stuff cheapens the Spice brand either, I see the group and solo as two completely separate entities.
