My theory is rainbow women is as symbol for strong women and that trailer sees her as the Virgin Queen who was a strong woman in history. Maybe there is other promotional trailers coming to promote the project? I hope we do get a new song.

I can still vividly remember the video being a talking point in my Biology class at high school. Have you seen that video by that Britney Spears girl!! :lol: Classic indeed. She sort of took over from where the Spice Girls as a group left off.

I would have loved for Oxygen to be a Christmas single and If You Wanna Have Some Fun be a February or March release.

It was an exciting time as it had been so long since Goodbye (nowadays less than 2 years seems like nothing haha) I remember buying both it and I'm Over You by Martine McCutcheon from WH Smith (I'm Over You seems so forgotten nowadays)

I get the feeling Victoria wants to pretend her solo music career never happened so this doesn't surprise me.

I think Goodbye and believe it or not Headlines are both absolutely stunning.

Maybe really was a moment wasn't it. The song, video, performances all spot on. Should've been her second number 1 for sure.

I love that performance they are so into it, its fresh and full of energy.

I remember buying this from Asda during my College lunch break. Random memory alert :lol: I still listen to this album often I adore Emma's vocals against the beautiful instruments, it was really well produced to give an authentic musical sound. No Sign of Life or Breathing should've been the 4th single for me. That's really the only nitpick I have with the era. I'll Be There has always meant a lot to me. :wub:

All About You has always been my fave track from this album. :wub:

I feel bad for Mel as this was her money she'd invested into a project that she clearly had a lot of passion in and the returns just aren't there no matter how hard she tries.

I dont think Forever being out a month later was a massive factor either. A fan of Mel B/Scary Spice would've still bought both and its not like they were both released the same day. Radio probably probably played a part still a low Top 30 for her at that moment in time was terrible. I actually didn't even listen to radio that much back then I watched and kept up on new releases and albums by the music channels, magazines, CDUK etc

I definitely think there was more too it than it just being the cover. Her music seemed to be appealing more to the older teenage fanbase anyway. Cant imagine many pre teens listening to a song like Tell Me. Only 50,000 bought her album at the same time 400 - 800,000 had bought Geri and Mels. It was a very dramatic reduction.

Hot only getting to 28 in 2000 with such mediocre (for the time) first week sales was mad. In 2000 they were pardon the pun "hot" solo and she'd just enjoyed a Top 5 single. Why was her album so ignored?

Geri's writing on Man on the Mountain was pretty much of her old high standard in my opinion. I'm intrigued by new material in any capacity.

Number 11 really haunts the Spice Girls doesnt it.

It's a shame she didn't get that BGT slot Amanda Holden just had.

The thing with unreleased music is do they want it heard? Melanie C for one has made it very clear she doesnt like much of it.
