  1. Well Harry Potter was a massive rip off of The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy only she expanded the world and story. All books borrow ideas and themes from others. Its naive to think that any idea is completely original.
  2. Was strange hearing Ghost in My House. Her first new officially released upbeat track in a decade. I hope it’s put on all streaming platforms and iTunes too. Beautiful Life seemed like a new experience aswell due to being better quality. I hope she keeps doing this with subsequent books.
  3. I honestly think you have issues.
  4. She said in her chat that music will always be her first love. I think that said it all. She probably doesn’t want to do Spice Girls stuff now unless it’s something special which is fair enough.
  5. Unpopular in your opinion. I don’t think she evokes more dislike from the public than Mel B or Victoria. As for the book I think the target audience won’t have an opinion on her as a celebrity like the 30 and 40 somethings who aren’t likely to buy the book anyway. I can see the book standing on its own. Also let’s not forget how well Ugenia Lavender done.
  6. I sincerely doubt Geri had a ghost writer. Writing has always been her strength.
  7. Just watched her Walmart chat. Impressed that she’s already finished the second book and a movie is already in the works for the first. Ghost in the House and Beautiful Life (from Man on the Mountain) are the two songs coming with the book.
  8. Bizarre that people would want to listen to Xmas music at the start of September.
  9. Wish she was doing Glasgow or Edinburgh but glad she’s doing anything in the UK.
  10. I recall Mel C saying the double A side was a gift to the fans after such a long wait. In reality I wonder if she only agreed to promoting one single and thats it so they made it a double A side to push as much out as they could at one time. I'm sure Mel C had a lot to say about what she would and wouldn't do in regards to Forever during 2000.
  11. I hope the Greatest Hits eventually reaches a million in the UK. That’d be a cool achievement.
  12. How exciting. She should put all the Rainbow Woman tracks on there aswell
  13. Thats great that someone as respected as Jacqueline Wilson would say that. I cant wait to read.
  14. I'm fascinated by how successful this book will be. A lot of money seems to have been thrown at it which is good as a book needs a ton of publicity to get noticed and to take off, Hopefully she gets some tv appearances in the US too. Its been about 20 years now since her last solo US TV exposure.
  15. Spice Up Your Life deserves this moment in the sun even if it is for a Barbie movie 😂
  16. The quality of these live audio tracks was shocking truly shocking. Not a huge fan but at least we got Feed Your Love with the spice release.
  17. Very bizarre that they have access to such HQ footage from the 98 tour yet put the audio they did on the Spiceworld 25 release. What’s that all about?
  18. I only want her there if she wants to be not through peer pressure.
  19. So good to hear her voice on music again
  20. Geris voice is definitely stand out in the Viva Forever chorus. I love that given that she didn't have a solo
  21. I'd like to think so however 2005 was a toxic time for them. The media was gunning for them as individuals and their influence was strong. Then the Live 8 reunion drama, it was everywhere for weeks and resulted in nothing. In hindsight it was a good thing but at the time no one knew the 2007 reunion tour was ever going to happen so them not reuniting gave them another ton of bad press.
  22. Not a choice I’d ever have expected to see someone pick.
  23. I think she got the opportunity of a film soundtrack single and jumped at it. Unfortunately the film wasn’t a big success.
  24. I think by this point Geri was growing out of the camp pop/dance sound. This is also evident by the Man on the Mountain tracks in subsequent years. The more mellow tracks from her first two albums have always been the ones she's praised the most on a personal level also. These songs aren't what the majority of her fanbase want from her though. Kylie learnt this when she changed her style in the 90s only to return to what her fans wanted in 2000 and big success to go with it.
  25. What an era. So many memories  I dont think any two albums give me as much pure nostalgia as Schizophonic and Spiceworld.
