Hard to believe its 18 years since I bought a Geri album. I wonder if I'll ever get to experience this pleasure ever again. :cry: I love her as an artist.

Always thought she should’ve lead this era with this.

I always found it hilarious that she hated On the Horizon so much clearly because she found it cheesy. She then went on to do I Want Candy haha. Ill never forget the denden forum reaction to her doing I Want Candy and its video.

Love Never Loved Me, No Sign of Life, Midnight Fantasy and Burn always stood out the most to me for each girl. Nothing significant stood out to me for Mel B. I think people overrated Hotter massively I find it mediocre. Also controversial opinion but I'd have replaced Holler with something else. Not sure what exactly but I was never a huge fan though it has grown on me from multiple Greatest Hits spins.

Life in Mono has some nice moments and vocals. Its just lacking overall though. I'd liken Free Me to a balloon being blown up. Life in the Mono the balloon being popped.

The songs recorded in 2000 for me are definitely the worst of Forever.

Great single. Not a sound I ever expected from Emma but it suited her voice so well.

What’s the big deal? It’s the truth. Not my fault if you are so easily offended by the truth. I’m sure they are today very glad it happened the way it happened as they love Phoenix and Brooklyn obviously but at the time it put a hault to their momentum and changed the course of their path as a group. It did indeed cause the most damage.

I like her being diplomatic but I feel like she’s not saying how she truly feels about being left out of the current formations newfound success. She’s only human after all and is bound to feel sadness that she’s not part of it especially as she talks openly about missing performing. It’s sad but is what it is. My fave Sugababes era will always be Keisha, Mutya and Heidi.

I dont think them going solo even crossed my mind at that time. Even when Geri left I didnt automatically expect her to go solo in music.

People blame Geri completely for the group's downfall but it was the pregnancies that did the most damage. If not for the pregnancies Mel C wouldn't have went solo so soon and there would've been no break after Goodbye. 1999 could've been an active year for the group and Geri. It is what is of course and I'm glad Northern Star exists.

Maybe those 1998 demos only ever had vocals from Mel C and Emma? Same as Christmas Wrapping.

I hope this leads to other roles for her. Her acting has improved so much in recent times.

I'm more upset by the exclusion of I Was Made that Way One of Geris absolute peak moments for sure. :wub:

Not her best album but a good album. I must revisit it. Nothing Fails is such a beautiful song.

Probably outwith her hands though unless she went independent which I cant see Geri doing. Success is important in securing a record deal. Geri definitely has "passion" for music. I dont deny that for a second.

I think she was working towards some kind of hew music release with the Rainbow Woman project but it didn't have the impact to lead to a music release that she or the team hoped for. I think she's how done with solo music sadly which I find beyond sad however its her life. She has her children's books and the Gran Turismo film coming out this year so she'll be busy.

The last thing 1999 era Mel C was ever going to do was release her album under "Sporty Spice"

I'm still gutted we didn't get Spiceworld in dolby atmos.

I love Heidi's voice. Her parts in the Sugababes songs particularly 2.0 are always stand out to me.

I’m sure she would’ve gotten a 4th had sales for both Scream and Calling been higher. Singles are only promotional tools to make people buy the album at the end of the day and if they don’t sell a lot or being the album back up the charts they aren’t going to keep pumping them out. Not sure if it’s true either but there was a rumour that she had to choose between a 4th single or the third album. No idea if that’s true but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Sadly this is how the media operate. They did exactly the same between Geri and the other girls 20 - 25 years ago. You need to have a thick skin which of course isn’t always easy to obtain.

Sugababes first line up and All Saints prove anything is possible. These were severely toxic girlband break ups.

Circles Round the Moon definitely wouldve been a hit. Such a pity.
