I'm not massively bothered by the content of these anniversary re issues, the original albums hold up strongly anyway. A dolby atmos release of Spiceworld would he a nice treat. Spiceworld is one of the strongest pop albums of all time in its ten track original format. :wub:

When they return it will definitely be with Jesy imo Time does indeed heal. The 3 piece didn’t have a lot of success either. Time and pop history will remember them as 4 not to forget all six studio albums were with all 4.

That would make her look like such an ungrateful diva. There's really no group for her not to be a part of anyway just reunions she doesnt actively get involved in anymore.

I still prefer the original. It had a concept as in they had taken over the world and that was true in 97. The dark gothic Tim Burton vibe turns many off it but I do think it works. The new video shows them off a lot better due to the lighting but just seems like it has no substance besides their looks. I’m grateful it exists though it was a nice little treat.

I hope its significantly better than Boys. I wish she loved pop.

Time Goes by had potential but lacks a good melody and build up to the chorus. It’s just lacking.

For me Goodbye, Let Love Lead the Way and the two jam and Lewis tracks are the best of Forever.

Or simply the persona she now has as a 50 year old woman. Not necessarily false but an evolution she’s went through that you don’t like.

I'm proud of Geri. Ugenia Lavender never interested me nor I expect will this but shes showcasing her sadly often overlooked talent as a writer. I hope its a success and she gets good reviews. :heart:

Some interesting little tidbits thanx for sharing. Its indeed a shame that she poured so much time, effort and creativity into this album for it now to be represented by her last minute cover of Its Raining Men. I am glad she chose that over Feels like Sex though which for me is in the bottom 3 tracks of this album. Her vocal on Its Raining Men may have been rushed but it sounds pretty good to me. Calling is indeed a stellar track, I'm glad she got a chance to release it.

Headlines needed that Strictly performance to support it. The song seemed more tailor made for the strictly audience than X Factor anyway. Was strange to not do it. They could’ve performed both it and 2 Become 1 or perhaps a ballad medley that ended in Headlines. What a missed op.

I dont think Forever missing number 1 was a big shock it was how fast it dropped after that.

If Only is the best though Just For The Record is my personal fave. I really like Catch a Fire and Who I Am aswell. I wasn't keen on Victoria's and Mel Bs second.

Been nice relistening to Step to Me. Was never a huge fave of mine but its growing on me upon rediscovery. I dont think it would've really fit on the widely known version of Spiceworld though.it feels very tagged similar to Forever and Goodbye.

Its certainly quirky. I dont listen much but when I do it makes me smile.

A bonus CD of a full 98 European leg wouldn’t have been difficult surely.

I think Forever 25 would’ve only worked had it been released in 1998 and next year was its anniversary. They aren’t going to wait until 2025 to do something like this again. I’d be very surprised if they did.

I love how the Greatest Hits has continued to grow and thrive in the last 15 years.
