  1. Yep, the solos killed the group <_< I often resent the solo projects for this specific reason
  2. Very true, all of those are the 'singles which got away' from each era and all of them would have done well, imo
  3. Yeah I never understood either, but maybe because Nevr Give Up is Geri-heavy on the chorus? They could have just recorded a couple of things, it would have taken half a day lol and they were already recording whilst in america anyway... A single mix for the song would have done wonders at the end of the summer and celebrate their stadium dates and end of what is still the biggest girlband tour ever to this day. It would have helped cement the four-piece even more, as tell the world they didnt really need Geri to carry on. Instead, they started to look into solo projects. Like, I love me some I Want You Back and When You're Gone (sometimes lol) but these two shouldnt have taken precedent to a Never Give Up single release. For me, this and how they (didnt) promote Forever, were the biggest misteps in their careers.
  4. Damn.. they really should have released Never Give Up On The Good Times, it would have added much needed energy boost to their releases back then. WILD that since Stop, we only had ONE uptempo - Holler - and four ballads... They have the best ballads from a major pop group, not even just girlband-wise. But they are better known for their uptempos.
  5. Poor Mel, this awful man keeps harrassing her and using her to make bank. I hope she gets rid of him and wins this
  6. Nope, im a big fan of it. It's a gorgeous, fun demo  would have LOVED if it had been polished and finished, to be used as a bside or even a delux version album track
  7. A song called The Young and The Restless has been found on BMI registration site, with Elliott Kennedy as a writer and the Spice Girls (as a unit rather than individual names) are stated as the singers. It seems to come from the Spice era. Will add to the list on the original post. Here is the link: Spice Girls - The Young and the Restless
  8. ahah well lets ask the Spice elite to leak it so that we can judge it shall we? :teresa:
  9. NOt always upbeat. Moody Spice is actually my favourite type of Spice (seen in Tell Me Why, Naked, Take Me Home, etc) :teresa:
  10. Oh Gerita... lol at least she bothered considering taht we know things arent as rosy as we would hope between them.
  11. Also, specially looking at the solo sections on the original post, if anyone knows of something I might be missing, that would be really useful. I dont have a lot of information on unreleased songs by Geri or Mel C, to be honest, but I will try and find them. If you can let me know of any others beyond what is posted, I'd really appreciate that!
  12. For sure, although they are all from one session only and quite 'polished'. I would LOVE LOVE to hear some more rough demos from that era too. The Autumn 1998 recordings in Ireland and LA, to the summer 1999 ones at Abbey Road, to the USA ones in Spring 2000. The songs released must not be the only ones from the vaults from that time, I bet they have some rough demos lying around hehe
  13. Also, I made the original post tidier and more colour-coordinated, and have also added all released songs per album, including b-sides and other released tracks. So it more comprehensive and is easier to navigate  Still missing is Victoria's second album(s) era recordings, and also Geri's full discography and known unreleased tracks information. There's quite a bit of information in there eheh WILD that we have so many confirmed unreleased tracks. Like, the Spice Girls as a group have about 30 unreleased tracks that we know about, and more that are rumoured/unconfirmed... Emma herself has about 50 unreleased tracks... :o WE NEED THEM VAULTS OPEN GIRLIES -_-
  14. Personally, Im not sure that flies, as Feed Your Love includes a pretty strong presence by Gerita herself and also Victoria is heard a lot in it. They just dont want to, sadly
  15. Nowadays it is Scary, then Baby, Sporty, Posh and Ginger, in that order!
  16. Totally agree, it was incredibly dissaponting even though before I made these maths I couldnt quite understand how many were left in the vaults... we are really deprived of anything hey?... :o
  17. So earlier today I went back to listen to Mel C's audiobook as I wanted to check the ~facts~ on how many songs she says they recorded during the pre-Spice release era. And in fact, beyond giving out some of the titles like Overnight and Serial Killer, she states they had recorded 30 songs which they had to select an album from :o All we know about are these titles Feed Your Love Pleasin' Me Likely Stories Serial Killer Seven Days Perfect Vision (clip leaked) Strong Enough (leaked) Overnight (1995 demo)* And we know that Step To Me was actually recorded pre-Spice release too but they decided to keep it for later. Plus the bsides Bumper to Bumper Take Me Home One of These Girls Sleigh Ride (though Id gather this was recorded after as it seems too random and slapdashed together) Baby Come Round This means that including the songs on the album 24 songs are known about from the era. We still have about 6 that we do not know about at all  Id love to know if there were any more actually recorded that might one day leak eheh Come on girls, get the vaults open!! :teresa:
  18. To be fair, they ALL used that return for their own solo fame/profit/profile.... Emma was releasing new music and touring solo around then too, and it was an obvious marketing plot (which kind of failed lol) Mel C also used that to enhance her profile and to use that money to cover her next era's expenses... Mel B used that also to book more high profile shows and re-launch as a personality in the UK... Yes, the three of them would have been very happy to continue to tour and there were even talks about making new music. It SUCKS that Geri was the one who put a stop to all of that so she could focus on her YouTube series and her book. It really does suck, but lets not pretend they all dropped their solo projects to focus on the group only either. I just think that the other three were happy to have a bit of both whereas Gerita wasnt, sadly...
  19. Added the link thanks! Also, seems like Dingeling and Image and Likeness have also been added recently. These are all Spiceworld era demos, as far as we know :teresa: Dingeling: https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/workID/909791245 Image & Likeness: https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/workID/891980983 Seems like Image & Likeness is only written by the girls themselves :w00t:
  20. ooohhhhhh :cheer: Interesting!! :w00t: I would love love love if they did indeed release some unreleased tracks!
  21. Exactly
  22. Mel B tonight on her show in Manchester about Geri: "I'm her attack dog. I'll always champion her. If [Geri] says go and attack that husband of hers, he will be done". You get the sense from the clips that things arent the best between them two right now, sadly, as she said 'but things change, though hopefully we will be back!" But it is good to see Mel B will always protect and support her. The comment on Christian is very pointed. She isn't his biggest fan, that's for sure. Good for her though, he sounds like an utter prick.
  23. I would literally happily kill (spiceboy) to make this a reality :teresa: This would be instantly iconic
  24. On another note, if I was part of a major touring band that could easily sell out Stadiums the world over in a matter of minutes, and was spending the last 5 years not being able to tour because one member wanted to go and write books, I would be so friustrated. We are in the middle of a renaissance of touring right now, it has never been as profitable and successful in pop music specially with pop female acts. They could easily break a £200million box office tour with Stadiums across the world, in a matter of months. But Tory Gerita decided she hates the world outside of UK/USA and she wants to squander it all so she can release the "Asda's Margareth Thatcher Cardbord cut out" version of Harry Potter... Jesus f***ing christ... This ain't no Spiceworld!! We're in Spice HELL here girlies... Spice HELL... (only kidding) (no, not really...)
  25. Oh I never knew this about Westlife... So basically we have Westlife and Take That performing worldwide tours with just 3 members??? I mean, on their best day I cant distinguish between the members of Westlife, and I cant remember the names of the Take That members beyond Robbie and Gary. But honestly I think sadly the Spice Girls are on a different league here. They are not like the groups above that are quite faceless and interchangable between them. The Spice Girls are about the individual flavours. It's not just the 'brand' that sells, like those two above it. It is the group together, individually represented that always generates the buzz and interest. Because they sold themselves as all being so different and unique, and all of them being essential to the group, I think tehy would be more in danger of achieving that. Plus, lets not forget the sexism. But yes, ultimately I would be interested in they do a tour that is the three of them doing solos and then also some Spice songs. Or if they COMMIT to the group as a trio, recording and touring all the time like the two 'boring' bands mentioned above.
