  1. I remember My Love Is For Real was announced as a second single by her during a Marie Claire interview
  2. New Geri pic on her website: gerihalliwell.com
  3. Sorry if it was poste before : https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/c...s-week-__16446/ To date, Can't Get You Out Of My Head has UK chart sales totaling 1.53 million, including a massive 1.2 million pure sales (her chart "rival" Victoria? 93,000 chart sales), and 38 million streams. It spent four weeks at the top, and its parent album, Fever, also debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart while its lead single was at the top of the singles chart too - earning Kylie a rare chart double. So, NSAIG sold 93,000 copies.
  4. Track by Track - Victoria/The Sun 1. NOT SUCH AN INNOCENT GIRL Victoria: "It was the last track I recorded and I didn't write this one but the record company loved it so much they wanted it on the album." Bizarre verdict: A strange choice for the first single release - there are much better songs on this album. 7/10 2. A MIND OF ITS OWN Victoria: "This is one of my favourites on the record - it's got a classic structure with a big chorus." Bizarre verdict: Great pop song that will go down well with kids. 8/10 3. THAT KIND OF GIRL Victoria: "This is my absolute favourite on the album. I think it sums me and David up perfectly. One of the lines in the song is about sipping champagne out of paper cups - and that's what I do. We're both just like that." Bizarre verdict: A slow one which is not so catchy but one for the romantics out there. 6/10 4. LIKE THAT Victoria: "I wrote and recorded this in London. It's basically got a different angle to it. I'm singing about a relationship that my friend is having, it's not about me." Bizarre verdict: A funky, hip tune that reflects the music scene in the UK at the moment. 7/10 5. GIRLFRIEND Victoria: "I wrote this song with Dane Bowers on the train on the way back from Brighton. We literally wrote the lyrics on the backs of our train tickets. It isn't autobiographical, it's about a girl telling her friend not to trust her man because he is cheating on her. It's something that I think a lot of people can relate to." Bizarre verdict: It has a two-step feel to it and a lot of attitude. 8/10 6. MIDNIGHT FANTASY Victoria: "This is a great pop song, very catchy, quite light and it goes along like a Janet Jackson track. I did this one in Stockholm." Bizarre verdict: The synth sounds in this make it sound pure pop. Good single potential. 7/10 7. I.O.U. Victoria: "This song is all about David. I just felt that I wouldn't be where I am today without him and this track is dedicated to him. Like the song says, I owe him everything. I would be nothing without him." Bizarre verdict: Great ballad. 7/10 8. NO TRIX, NO GAMES Victoria: "Everyone thinks they know me but they don't. This isn't Posh 'n' Becks, this isn't the Spice Girls, this is Victoria Beckham, what do you think? That's what I'm saying here." Bizarre verdict: One of the best tracks on the album. Its funky, cool and catchy. Could be a chart hit. 8/10 9. I WISH Victoria: "This is quite a cool dancey track. When I went to the recording studios in LA I told the guys I was working with that while I wanted a big American sound, I also wanted to make a pop record." Bizarre verdict: This is the track that leaked out early on to the internet. Will do well as a single. 8/10 10. WHATCHA TALKIN BOUT Victoria: "I think this is a great blend of American R&B with British pop. It's exactly the type of sound I wanted to create and I think my vocals really come through on this track." Bizarre verdict: Without a doubt the best track on the album. It's cool, dancey and very much of today, with the same vocal sound Victoria had on the Truesteppers track. Should have been the first single released from the album. 10/10 11. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE Victoria: "This is a lovely ballad - another one I wrote for David. It's all about us and our relationship." Bizarre verdict: This would make a perfect Christmas single, it's spine-tingling and very romantic. 9/10 12. EVERY PART OF ME Victoria: "This song is all about Brooklyn, about how he makes me feel and how I see lots of me in him. He was with me the whole time while I was recording the album and his giggles are on the beginning of the track." Bizarre verdict: Could make another single release - but don't expect to see Brooklyn in the video! 8/10
  5. Track by track from Mel (worldpop.com) Feel So Good That's probably one of the most poppy songs on the album. I worked in Minneapolis for two weeks and got to spend Jimmy Jam's 40th birthday with him and sing with the cake alongside Janet Jackson! Tell Me This was produced by Rodney Jerkins who's done 70 per cent of the Spice Girls album. It's a very truthful, very honest account of what I've been through the last two years. On this album and particularly on this single I've expressed how I feel and how I think, and I think it's very disrespectful if I say, 'This song's about that person and that song's about that person.' I don't want to lower myself and be like that. Hell No This was written with Sisqo in LA. It was fantastic fun working with him, he's a ball of talent, energy and genius! We had a right laugh and Phoenix was there with me, singing and bopping along, which was brilliant. The song's from a girl's point of view, about sadness, being left and ditched! Lullaby I co-wrote this with Biff who co-wrote Wannabe with us. We were in Ireland for a week and I had a fantastic time, it was brilliant to have a chance to work with the people I'd worked with on the first Spice album. The song's about my daughter, saying that she's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Hotter I co-wrote this with Sisqo, it's a very upbeat, powerful song about a girl saying she doesn't care if you've got money or style or class, cos it's more about the person inside. So you could drive a Bentley and be the worst kind of guy to me, it's what they give off as a person that counts. Step Inside That was done with my boyfriend Max here in London. He sent me a track about a year ago and finally I got back to him and said I'd love to do it. He produced it, wrote it, played all the instruments on it and got a full orchestra in which I was very amazed by. ABC 123 Written by Teddy Riley. We worked with him in Virginia for two weeks in the middle of nowhere, with him and his fantastic team. That was the first time I stepped out to do the solo project and I did three songs with him. That was 14 months ago. I Believe Written by me and Teddy Riley. He did all the beats and production himself, and it's a bit indie and funk/poppy! I love it! I Want You Back Written by Missy Elliot, this was the first time I'd even considered doing anything by myself. I was on tour with the Spice Girls when she called me up and said 'Melanie, I've got a song for you, will you come and record it with me?'. I checked it with the girls and within a month I was out there, I recorded it in a day, did the video, then came back. She's a genius. Pack Your Shit It's about a love affair - I get cheated on, cos he's fancying my friends that come round the flat. It's a heavy song and it's very hard to sing cos there's a lot of high notes and I don't do high notes very well, but somehow I did them! Feel Me Now That is supposed to be me being sexy! When I recorded it I lay down on the floor, lit candles and had a little bit of wine cos the verses are just flowing and gushing with whatever I'm thinking. It still makes me cringe a little when I listen back to it!
  6. Track by Track from Emma: WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? My latest single and I love the guitar in it. I had a fantastic time making the video in the desert in California and I wanted the sound to have a country feel. TAKE MY BREATH AWAY One of the first songs I wrote and it's about Jade. I wanted to get across how it feels when you fall for someone. Musically, it's quite guitary and I love it so much I would like it to be my next single. WORLD WITHOUT YOU I wrote this when I was in New York and it's about how you miss your friends and family when you're away from home. HIGH ON LOVE My favourite on the album and it's about my mum. I wrote it when I moved away from home and it tells of the unconditional love that a mother has for a child. It's quiet and influenced by Sade - I was listening to her stuff a lot at the time. A GIRL LIKE ME An up-tempo track that's meant to reflect my personality - someone who strives really hard to do their best. SPELL IT O.U.T. Semi-acoustic with strong vocals, it's based on the experiences of friends and is about when you know a relationship has ended but the other person doesn't want to hear it. SUNSHINE ON A RAINY DAY A great dance track and I was unsure whether to include another cover on the album (the other is What I Am). I recorded it with Tin Tin Out and we included a massive gospel choir. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT An R&B track about when you've been in a relationship for a long time and you want to move on to the next stage. It's like when you're at school and a boy tells you he's seeing you but he's not actually your boyfriend. BETTER BE CAREFUL This one has a real Motown feel. I'm a huge Motown fan so this is a tribute really. The lyrics are about when you fancy some guy at school and you don't know his name but you get really dressed up and follow him around the playground. WE'RE NOT GONNA SLEEP TONIGHT Written for my girls - they all know who they are. It's about having a girls' night out. SHE WAS A FRIEND OF MINE NOT about Geri Halliwell, despite what people might think. This tells of the betrayal when one of your friends goes off with your boyfriend. It's based on something that happened to a friend. WHAT I AM I had to put this one on the album because I had such great fun recording it with Tin Tin Out. source: The Sun

  13. I went to the listening party back then and the songs sounded better live. Overall the album is ok but in my opinion her voice is unlistenable in some songs.
  14. My cash was gone when I made the order... 😅
