The Tortured Poets Department Survivor: Round 9
And that’s the second half of the album gone. Evidence that the first half is better. Clara Bow and Guilty as Sin to go.

iTunes Chart: February [III]
I knew Lily Allen was the MAIN person I had forgotten, although Adele may beat her soon. Cheryl Cole, Leona, Susan Boyle (esp for an Xmas Album) my mind had went blank. I remember Sharleen's album went top 3 (maybe top 5) and now it's dawned on me that it hadn't done that well to begin with. It's been a LONG day! I just shouldn't think anymore tonight.

Umbrella is already 31 on iTunes and Forget You is 54 and 59! That's better than what 90% of the Glee songs have done on itunes

iTunes Chart: February [III]
I love Lady GaGa, but HATE her new single. Number 3 is an amazing chart postion, no matter who the singer is. Getting to number 1 isn't easy anymore and only a handful of females, Kylie, Madonna, Rihanna, Britney & Beyonce have had more No 1 singles than her. Adele deserved it, especially coming off a second album, which only few British people have major success with (Paolo Nutini is the only recent example I can think of) I just keep remembering the flops (Kate Nash, Mika, Sandi Thom, Sharleen Spiteri) and less sucessful, but sold an okish amount (Amy MacDonald, Duffy, James Blunt, KT Tunstall) the latter two have seen their third albums sell less than the "underperforming second album" I hope La Roux & Florence don't suffer, but my favourite bands rarely get any top 75 album or singles, Saint Etienne, Ladytron, Metric & The Sounds. I went off topic. I'm sorry :puke2:

What number is Gwyneth Paltrow Forget You combined? as it's number 67 & 68, she's also 72 with Umbrella. Hope both can make the top 40. I know it's Glee feat her, but she nails both songs IMO!

This week's Glee songs are doing really well so far. I think a few may reach the top 40! :)

What Arists Have Flopped This Year?
Edele & Keavy from B*witched, or Barbarella's? The song missed the itunes top 1000. Suprised no one mentioned them. The Ting Tings haven't released the album yet. Duffy's album still sold more than Kesha, The Saturdays & Scissor Sister's. KT Tunstall & James Blunt, had huge albums back in 05-06, the 2nd albums for both did okay and now the new albums have done rubbish, probably because, like with Duffy, they wait too long between singles as well, doesn't help it at all.

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (II)
How come This Is The Life is back in the top 100?
-
Most dissapointing singer of 2010?
Duffy's album has done alright, not brillant, but after 4 weeks it's sold more than a lot of 2010 acts, Kesha, Scissor Sisters, Marina & Diamonds, The Saturdays etc

HMV plans to close 60 stores
Do you remember there used to be the HMV & Virgin on Union St as well? But that's the thing, there used to be so many different music shops MusicTrade, Silver Screen (In Buchanan Galleries, which was so expensive) Tower Records, Woolworths. They all seemed to be really succesful, before play.com and amazon took over.I tend to go to Cash Converters for DVDS (I got a lot of 2010 movies for £1.50 each) or Missing Records, as I don't care about second hand stuff, as long as they work! At this moment the only shops that I actually love are Cineworld (if that counts, I go there all the time) H&M, Waterstones, River Island, HMV & Debenhams. I can see all my favourites slowly going. I wonder if HMV may start taking notice and selling their things at a cheaper rate!

Arrested Development
I have the boxset, but I have a million things to watch and I fear it will still there for years!
-
Metric fans?
Anyone else a fan of Metric? I don't want else to say apart from how AMAZING they are!

HMV plans to close 60 stores
Does Stirling have a Waterstones? I go to University in Stirling and didn't even realise :w00t: I worked in HMV last Christmas & the managers were saying this may happen, but the one I worked in (There's three in Glasgow City Centre) was the 5th biggest HMV on Xmas Eve, this year & last, so I've been told it's safe, although I'd hate to see the Buchanan St one go as it's the 2nd or 3rd biggest one in UK, and then the small one has been there for about 10000 years and I don't want that to go either :( I used to feel bad for people buying CD's that clearly were so much cheaper online. Also, Fopp! is actually really cheap a lot of the time, or maybe it's just the one I go to

X Factor winners single 2010 - What will theey cover?
Graeme Colton's Best Days would be a great one for Matt to sing. Graeme sang it on American Idol in 2008. Shame the song wasn't released over here!
