  1. Yes exactly, it's hard to express a judgement but I think we all know how dodgy her dad comes across. Nobody here is saying 'free her from her conservatorship' - not even Britney, nor the rest of her family. I think she, her family, her friends (her fans being only a factor in the equation) and whoever seems to care about her only want to see someone who hasn't got a conflict of interests counsel her on the next moves, financially and career-wise. I'm pretty sure that if her dad had no foul play Britney would be very happy to hand this over to him and to pay someone in her inner circle rather than an external company. But clearly it's not the case - and she wants IMPARTIALITY. Also don't forget her kids have a restraining order in place against Jamie, so this definitely doesn't make it easier for her to see them. Here's another update from TMZ: https://www.tmz.com/2020/11/08/britney-spea...ervator-estate/
  2. Edited.
  3. Curious to see (if/)how the 13 votes for Into You will be redistributed in the next round.
  4. I remember that in European countries CDs used to come out the Friday before the UK release, and I walked past a (closed) CD shop on Saturday night and was fuming I didn't go to buy it the day before, so I would have to wait til Monday afternoon when CD shops would open the following week XD
  5. Some updates on the case from the last couple of days (as reported by TMZ and BH): - Britney's lawyer Sam Ingham is requesting that her father, Jamie, be suspended as co-conservator. Instead, he's asking the judge to approve that an independent trust firm, Bessemer Trust, take over as the sole conservator over Britney's estate instead - Britney's former business manager, Lou Taylor, has officially resigned. Britney's father Jamie tried to immediately appoint a new business manager without consulting Britney. It appears to be an attempt to keep control over Britney's assets. Jesus, this man is absolute scum.
  6. How come? Due to Covid?
  7. 10 Hung Up 8 Get Together 9 Sorry 8 Future Lovers 6 I Love New York 8 Let It Will Be 9 Forbidden Love 8 Jump 7 How High 9 Isaac 5 Push 8 Like It Or Not 7 Fighting Spirit 5 Super Pop
  8. For me the choice was between Overload and In And Out Of Love, which I find two nice songs but not much more (I find myself skipping both by now but I voted Overload out cause IAOOL took a lot longer to get me 'bored', while I never really got into the former).
  9. Unfortunately it seems like her father's request to lawyer (further) up has also been approved by the same judge, which could mean he may have the upper hand again.
  10. It's a nice Madonna track, when her autotuning was something she was still only doing randomly (I found it a bit grating in some songs of Madame X), great performance on tour, but pretty happy this wasn't a defining hit.
  11. I bought and listened to this album first in summer 1998, I was 9 and this was the first Madonna album I bought/listened to after Ray Of Light. I obviously had no idea what the singles had been etc. It had only been released 4 years prior but sounded and looked like an album from another Madonna (previous) life! Especially as the aesthetics were so different from the ROL era. I grew to love all tracks (Don't Stop maybe is the one I skip) at such young age that it now feels like an album from my childhood and all tracks are equally familiar to me. Secret, Human Nature, Take A Bow became the most iconic after I started venturing in Madonna's videography. The title track has a great video but sonically is not something I enjoyed at first (again, I was 9, so still far from my Bjork phase).
  12. Haha it's actually not :) both are correct, IV is just more common in current times.
  13. The Benny Benassi song with Jeremih is out next week.
  14. Also a Fascination creature =p
  15. Alberto! posted a post in a topic in Madonna's Madonna
I remember that it was so cross-generationally big that I was 16 and most clubs I was going to (there is no such thing as a gay venue in my hometown) were playing Hung Up/Get Together/Sorry back to back, in full, as soon as the album came out (and the latter were not singles yet).
  16. End of Everything
  17. It's Fascination, so no surprise :) Yes, the video is incredible. The song is a bit too fast/repetitive for banger-tier (it's no WTFH) but still love the direction they're going.
  18. I actually like Fearless and its lush relaxing sound. And I love the darkness of Nowhere To Run XD My next vote goes to End Of Everything. Just like for Escape, it fits the sound more the other tracks but didn't leave too much of a mark on me.
  19. Agree :( 'dated' is the word. She has just been very unoriginal since the cover album. This sounds like a cheap 'Fight Song', and I say it sadly because I think she has a great voice and Firestarter was a banger.
  20. Nah it's just a thing labels do, compiling random existing songs into EPs around a 'theme'. Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift are doing a similar thing.
  21. LMAO I know, it's also always been available since, so literally nothing than changing the artwork.
  22. It's actually one of her albums I used to listen to as a whole (I was 11 years old when I bought this, many years later after its original release) but agree that apart from the great concept, visuals and originality, some tracks are not great standalone tracks I'd go back to. This said, Deeper And Deeper, Bad Girl, Words and Why Is It So Hard are either classics or personal favourites I do return to.
  23. I feel like she's a bit wobbly on the breathy/lower range parts so both IAOOL and some BIOM performances do sound a bit off.
  24. End Of Everything. I find Nowhere To Run actually dark and pleasant, although very very Version Of Me.
  25. I also feel like a fee is a bit of a stretch as they would be doing this for free in a no-Covid world where artists could tour shortly after and rightfully charge for it then. But I guess the times allow this, so if Mel C could justify a £7 spend + fee, I imagine Kylie would be charging twice as much (although she definitely needs the money less than Melanie, but I suppose this will be a bigger production? We'll see).
