Eurovision: Your Decision
The judges are doing well so far.
-
Eurovision: Your Decision
As the judges said both had weak vocals so The Revelations could lose to a great vocal performance of an inferior song later on.

Eurovision: Your Decision
Ropey vocals in my opinion!!

What can be done to halt Britain's 'brain drain'?
Another media non story. Talent goes out of the country while talent comes in. It's a world-wide market now - you can come and go as you please and that's exactly what people with brains are gonna do. This is a good thing - it's only the parochial minds who read papers like the Mail and the Telegraph who would think otherwise.

Top 75 Singles / Albums Chart
I love Goldfrapp but I'm not surprised the single only reached number 10. It's simply not commercial enough to break through in a big way. I think they'll struggle to get another hit from the LP if it's all like A&E (I haven't heard it yet). I get the feeling that this LP is going to be like the first - An Lp that works as an LP rather than a bunch of potential hit singles. This is a good thing by the way, in case you think I'm having a go at them!

Public uncertain over the potential of USB releases
People in the record industry are as dumb as stumps. This was never gonna work. But they'll never learn - they have completely lost contact with their customers. If you want a physical format you want something substantial (and not at those ludicrous prices). If you want a purely digital format you'll go online; so there's just no room for USB sticks. The public never wanted them - but the record biz likes to think they know best what we want - they don't.

Great Lost Albums and Over-looked Classics
I got to Felt Mountain late and, I have to agree, it's a great lost classic; although not as lost as it would have been if they hadn't gone on to greater success.

Old songs which have lyrics you wouldn't get away with
What are you? A tabloid journalist? You're quoting out of context! I wish they would go away Little children Now why ain't you playin' outside I'm askin' you You can't fool me 'Cause I'm gonna know if you hide And try to peek I'm gonna treat you to a movie Stop your gigglin' Children do be nice Like little sugars and spice You saw me kissin' your sister You saw me holdin' her hand But if you snitch to your mother Your father won't understand He's just trying to get rid of his girl's younger siblings. Mind you, the Union Gap single is well dodgy these days! How about this one by The Coasters: Young Blood I saw her standin' on the corner A yellow ribbon in her hair I couldn't stop myself from shoutin: Look a-there! Look a-there! Look a-there! Look a-there! Young blood, young blood, young blood I can't get you out of my mind I took one look and I was fractured I tried to walk but I was lame I tried to talk but I just stuttered: What's your name? What's your name? What's your name? What's your name? Young blood, young blood, young blood I can't get you out of my mind What crazy stuff! She looked so tough I had to follow her all the way home Then things went bad; I met her dad He said, "You'd better leave my daughter alone." I couldn't sleep a wink for tryin' I saw the rising of the sun And all night my heart was cryin': You're the one, you're the one You're the one, you're the one! Young blood, young blood, young blood I can't get you out of my mind Paedophilia and stalking in one song!

Predict: Janet Jackson - "Feedback"
It's not bad but not that memorable. Surely it's chart placing will depend on whether Radio 1 get behind it? They may not because she's not "young" enough - and we know how obsessed Radio 1 is with "young"! Maybe Top 20.
