Not signing sorry. I love If I Can't Dance and it's my most played song from TTLF. It's incredibly catchy, the chorus really gets in your head and that's the sort of song Sophie needs after TTSOU i think. Yes it could still flop, but people should face up to the fact that If You Go could also flop, as brilliant as it is.
  3. I think they will. Sophie is respected in the music world i think, she makes quality music and people know it. The fantastic response she's getting from the live performances recently must also count for something.

Not all bad news! Here's a bit from c4 website V Festival blog: Ahh, Sophie Ellis-Bextor. We can't think of a bad word to say about you. And judging by the number of people who have shown up to watch her set, neither can a lot of other people. Watched by various members of The Feeling, Sophie splits her performance between tracks from her new album for the first half, including 'Catch You' and what should be a future single 'Love Is Here', before wisely closing with 'Groovejet' and 'Murder On The Dancefloor'. :)
  5. Me too! The song just obviously didn't reach enough people and stick, which is a great shame. I await news with bated breath.
  6. The songs out of the iTunes pop chart for now, but with V this weekend it should re-enter do you think. I hope so! Also, the release of Today The Sun's On pushed the album up on iTunes, but it's falling gradually again atm, currently at #41. Let's see what V Festival can do, i'm sure Soph's performance is gonna be a damn good one! :D
  7. Really! The forum has had trouble with people joining to cause trouble, so this may be a reason you can't register if it's bad at the moment. I don't look in many of the forums, but i have seen topics that have obviously been created by such an idiot not too long ago. The mods are there to do their jobs, but i think the first msg you got sent is outright wrong and the person was really rude and the second one doesn't sound exactly friendly.
  8. I have wondered myself why Sophie has been able to decide which songs to release. I don't know much about the industry, but don't the record label usually make the decisions? Today The Sun's On Us is a gorgeous song with great lyrics and should be doing loads better than it is, but it wasn't a good song to release to get a big reaction from the public. I hope If I Can't Dance will come around quickly after this one and turn things around. I was reading the Summer Sundae Festival forum the other day and there are lots of really positive comments about Sophie's performance, and they're not from pop fans either. She's on top form with all the live performances!
  9. You've got nothing to worry about designer. I woudln't DREAM of it! B) I'm not normally bitchy like that, serious!

Not as far as i know, i think it was a one-off.
  11. Fair point! It is pretty ridiculous sometimes, and the topics are a bit of a mess because the mods don't like too many new topics, so it gets a bit jumbled and not easy to find what you're looking for i find. That message you got sent is just wrong! I can easily guess the mod you're on about, who really likes doing their job! I'm daniel_son on the official site btw. :)

WOW! Great job with the video! I like how you come back to the album cover at the end! She performed this on Jonathon Ross' radio show, quite a while before the album actually came out. I can't think of many artists who sound as good as Sophie does live. She sounds gorgeous.

From Sophie herself: "At the moment i think it should be 'Love Is Here', but i keep changing my mind between that and If I Can't Dance." So it's not as definite as we've maybe been thinking. I love 'Love Is Here' and thought it was really special when i first heard it. After 'Today The Sun's On Us' though, i'd prefer something with a faster beat and more disco pop style, so i hope she ends up going with If I Can't Dance. It would be interesting to hear a single version of 'Love Is Here' though, and i will be happy whatever the outcome.
  14. Congrats Paul! :D I got my copy from Woolies this morning! Love it!
  15. Nice Rihanna pics! I have my ticket to see Sophie at Manchester Academy!
  16. Thanks. Hopefully! I think we can expect a climb after V Festival. I love all the pictures from her G-A-Y performance, they're awesome! That's the first ever sig i've made btw. :D I know it's really c**p.
  17. LOL! Does anybody know the official album position?
  18. #77 right now! :)
  19. Today The Sun's On Us is back in the iTunes pop chart at #81. :D
  20. Well, i've been watching the album on itunes pop albums chart the last couple of days and it's gone like this: 21 - 28 - 33 - 37 - 36 - 29 - 32 - 33 - 21 So now it's back at 21. :D Can it break the top 20?

Roll on If I Can't Dance! Definitely a favourite for me from Trip The Light. It's Sophie the disco queen, what she does best! I can never listen to it just once! There's so much brilliant stuff crammed into one song, but i think my favourite bit has to be the 'deeeniiied' bit. :D
  22. Yeah, it was after i got the msg i decided not to be such a stranger. I have been nosing around the last few days. Thanks for the welcomes! :) SOPHIE! Wooo!
  23. I watched the performance today. It was an ok performance, but not better than that after the last two really great live performances. Shame it was mimed. I have my fingers crossed for Sunday!! I never knew there was a place as good as this for following Sophie's chart progress and other stuff until a few days ago. Everyone does a great job here, hopefully i can contribute myself a bit. :)
