  1. I don't think he is "that" big, but Escapology, I believe went platniumn there, so they do know him. I don't know why he hasn't gigged there, because I am sure he could do, he is doing well in Latin America, so only needs Canada to sandwich the States.
  2. I don't know where this will end up in the charts, I would be happy for a top 5 position again, it would be totally unjust if it didn't I know it will be No. 4, thats where Robbie usually ends up. I haven;t even heard it being played on the Radio yet, which is a bit worrying.
  3. At Milton Keynes he announced the IC has now sold 7million copies to date. I don;t know if he was "going large" or not, but I believe everything he says :D
  4. I am sure he is over it, its just an old story rehashed, such is the Sun.
  5. So pleased you enjoyed your Robbie experience Luciano. :cheer: I liked your wording "you felt his impact" that is so true. :)
  6. Now if you want demanding, Missy Elliot had the radio presenters in stitches recently, she had a "rider" of at least 25 demands and she was only appearing here in Bournemouth in a very small venue. They were reading it out and having a real laugh about it because it was so "over the top"
  7. me too, the press will do Robbie down without doubt. Trouble is the press can make it happen sometimes by swaying public opinion.
  8. I think I am gonna like She's Madonna from the tiny bit I heard.
  9. I do believe he is in the 2007 edition Scotty. but Billboard is American so really that says it all sadly.
  10. How I agree with you Monsoon, its almost as if they want to "tip him over the edge" and us with him. But they won't the blighters. I wanted to send a comment the other day to the Daily Mail until I saw that they edit and even choose what goes up which I know goes on, but it got me thinking, during the long winter months I am actually going to give myself a Brief, and that is to find out just how free the freedom of speech is in the UK. This country prides itself on just that, but does it exist, because if I can't get a little comment heard then who is ruling that basic right. Robbie just may have started something that could take me down a lot of interesting avenues.
  11. I am so glad I am not alone, I am confused too. Its says you have to register and subscribe, so does that mean you have to pay again, or is it part of our IS subscription, and can you use your IS login.? So sorry for all the questions so early in the day. :D
  12. I really hope it gets resolved without court proceedings. The thought of Robbie having to pay NMS anything would suck.
  13. I can understand that Jupiter, but I'd say now that after a couple of days at MK the crowds are getting used to it especially the amount of banners and saucy tee shirts being shown with the Rudebox logo.
  14. And Rudebox would you believe is fantastic live..I enjoyed it and so did the crowd, they were bopping along with the beat. The title has also inspired some very good Tee Shirt ideas. I had great fun reading them, very imaginative.
  15. Just got back after 3 amazing concert performances. Twinkle you lucky so and so  my lad appeared on the screens too. He went with his 3 mates and they thought he was awesome. He was absolutely top notch. I had 2 IC days where I did get down the front exactly in the same position I managed in Dublin. Friday I had GA and just chilled out on the grass bank, and the view of the whole production was brill. The weather held, thank goodness, the venue looked impressive and quite cosy, if you know what I mean, and Robbie did the biz in so many ways. I cannot tell you how good he was, but I was sad to hear him have to defend his career and that he felt the need too. The crowds were amazing, so many people, and so much love directed his way. Saturday night's crowd just kept yelling "We love you Robbie" non stop, he just stood there with his head in his hands before waving and leaving the stage. Fans were leaving the IC with tears in their eyes and I suspect I will be one of them on Tuesday night at his last performance in the UK.
  16. LEGAL WRANGLE FOR ROBBIE AS EX MANAGER SNAPS LATEST: Pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is reportedly facing legal action from former TAKE THAT manager NIGEL MARTIN-SMITH after he launched a terrifying attack on the mogul in new track THE NINETIES. The outspoken singer's shocking song, which features on his upcoming album RUDEBOX, detail how he has fantasised about gouging the pop mogul's eyes out, sniping, "Either you're a thief or you're s**t, which one will you admit to? Such an evil man, I used to fantasise about taking a Stanley knife and playing around with your eyes." Williams, who rocketed to fame with the British boy band before going solo, claims Martin-Smith forced him to change his name, lose weight and even refused to pay the group for a successful European tour. But after years of being slammed by the ANGELS singer, Martin-Smith has snapped, and has reportedly hired top libel and defamation lawyer QC ANDREW CALDECOTT to take care of matters. An unnamed music executive tells British newspaper The Daily Mirror, "Robbie has called into question Nigel's honesty and ability as a manager when it's well-known that without him he wouldn't have a career in the first place. This has got to stop." A source close to Martin-Smith adds, "He has always kept a dignified silence despite all of Robbie's remarks but he has overstepped the mark this time and Nigel is upset and angry." How I hate that man, but really Robbie should know him by now.
  17. Oh yes, getting excited seeing that, thanks. :yahoo: Getting packed and ready to go and be part of the broadcast from Leeds lol. I have my banners/flags/bunting and everything else I can think of to get noticed. Enjoy the concert everyone either at the actual event or sitting at home looking at us enjoying ourselves with Robbie. (I bet he won't enjoy himself as much as us) Come on England get behind the man and cheer, yell and sing, we can't let him down now can we. :yahoo:
  18. I am sorry char1sma, I do understand that you are a huge fan of Westlife, as I am of Rob, and its always a natural thing to defend the postion of your favourite man, band or group. But the end result is as it stands today, not in the future, is that Robbie is phenomenal in the UK and internationally. Westlife are hugely successful but just off the mark when up against Robbie. Rob's sales figures are based on his solo career alone and its debatable if you could include his Take That years sales, if you did then it would increase significantly on top of that again. :)
  19. You are right there Scotty the figs didn't include IC, I did read that overall taking in all his releases Robbie has sold approx 18 million albums in the UK alone and 45 plus million world wide. Either way more that Westlife I should think.
  20. Scotty, to be fair, I do think Westlife has had some success outside the UK and Ireland, but not on the level that Robbie has on album sales and most definately not on concert tickets sales. The listing that was compiled for the Channel 4 show, which put Robbie at No. 1 with 6million plus sales was only on albums released from the year 2000 and as mentioned it did not take in the Live at Knebworth album, Greatest Hits or Life Thru a Lens, I've Been Expecting You. I have never considered Robbie as a single artist and his most enduring position in the single chart appears to be No.4. All his "classic" songs never made No. 1.
  21. No wonder the Daily Mirror is looking for buyers for the ailing rag. Journo's like that don't do a lot for their profession. :arrr: I don't mind critical comments, everyone gets them, but that was uncalled for and just plain nasty..(Why are You So Nasty lol) Why pick on Robbie there are plenty of other acts out there who have not had the placings that they thought they would have, so who is a flop then, Robbie who is this week playing to half a million people in the UK, or someone like Shayne Ward who's single charted badly and hasn't sold out one single concert venue, there are others in the frame too, but won't go there. The British press are truly the worst in the world
  22. lol Twinkle, I did that too, had to have one of each, how can you leave a Robbie behind. :D especially when you can have a pair of Robbies
  23. thanks e-motion for your answer and while Rudebox may not be my favourite Robbie track, I do wish him well with it, because there are few precious others that would deviate from the norm like Robbie does. I also hope the album does okay too, because from what I have listened too, and from critical reviews I think this one could be one Funky release. :D
  24. Fingers crossed indeed.. I will be very happy with any top 10 position, most of Robbie's singles never make No. 1 funnily enough. How is it a flop for crikes sake, I read on the Chart forum those brilliant words, underperforming, and this from fans of other acts that haven't been around 10yrs like Robbie or released 9 albums either, I think at this stage in Robbie's career he is entitled to underperform, it for the others to aspire to it. Sorry if my post annoys anyone, it is however my point of view, just like everyone elses. :yahoo:
