  1. You wouldn't think his name was so common
  2. Well I will have to admit to his Wham days after all, because I preferred those songs than his solo stuff, bar Careless Whisper. I saw George Michael on Saturday too, not on the TV, but actually at the gig at Wembley, and I can't say that it was anything more than okay and I would go along with quite a few critical reviews, that it lost its momentum (true) a odd set list (yep) and didn't live up to the occassion for opening up Wembley Stadium. Why Not value for money..no support acts, he spent a long time off the stage between songs and no "special guest" as stated on the ticket. I certainly do hope that Robbie doesn't follow that direction as his ticket is certainly value for money and half the price. Don't get me wrong I like George and still do, but he is not for the biggest stadia, not bombastic enough. Freddie and Robbie he is not.
  3. Having been at Wembley for George's show on Saturday, I can absolutely say that the Close Encounters tour would have been more fitting for opening up the new Stadium.
  4. Spot on Scotty about his album sales, but just imagine if he had the US market how much more he could add to the totals, although I do read reports that the American market would only give an extra 2/3 million at the most. So he doesn't need it really, but he will forever be put down about it for some unknown reason, as if its the be all and end all of success. Robbie and Eurovision, I could see him taking it up for a laugh and out of pure devilment.
  5. Getting Robbie out of his "resting" mode, might kick things off for sure as well. although I do like a party too. :naughty:
  6. I liked it, although I am not a lover of Eminem and his type of stuff.
  7. You don't have to explain Jupiter, I understand completely.
  8. There is only 6 points between 2nd and 1st place..6 points only..
  9. They are in and out Actionman. Between here and the Lounge.
  10. You didn't :puke2:
  11. I have to say that Robbie and Guy's history is very much like Elton John's and Bernie Taupins. Sometimes a successful partnership is because they were meant to be..so I am looking forward to that "schmaltzy ballad just to get the housewives and Angels brigade off his back" Without that song, this housewife would not be a Robbie fan. :yahoo:
  12. What a great idea, thats one way to save money isn't. I couldn't part with a Robbie note easily. lol.. But what gets me is why the question mark after Robbie's name, why not after Terry Wogan?
  13. Indeed he is Jupiter..and its made me smile, I hope Robbie is too. How brilliant did he do afterall. :cheer:
  14. Susie posted a post in a topic in Television
thisispop you are absolutely right about The Beatles and Paul McCartney and you can't take their achievements away from them and nor would I want to. But I do think that Sir Paul, while highly respected, is not as loved as he should be as a person. Well I don't think he is anyway, and I don't know why I say that, being at Live 8 gave me that impression from the comments around me. Anyway, The Queen deserved to win without doubt, she has been tireless in her duty as our Monarch, but I am gobsmacked at how well Robbie did..he was only 4% behind the Queen for goodness sake. I hope it makes him laugh. :cheer: :cheer:
  15. Come on Twinkle :yahoo: I've done it, so you are not alone. :yahoo: Robbie 20pts from me.
  16. It has indeed been discussed at length Joao Filipe. I am not sure if there should be another discussion on this really. I do have to say though that I do not agree with your comment and I would like to know why you feel its disgusting. If anything your thoughts offend me especially as you may not live in the UK. Sorry but thats how I feel. Prince Harry is NOT like the rank and file, he would have been targeted or kidnapped to be used against our Country to cause the maximum humilation. Our Royality are our figureheads, the Queen unites this country when its needed, be it a celebration of her Coronation, or something else. Harry is part of that family, and he will always have the high profile that brings. I care about Prince Harry, because I care about my Country because I am proud of it. It was too big a risk, too big for this Government to be held responsible for, its bad enough that they are responsible for the loss of life of sons and daughters already. It wasn't his choice, but it was a decision made on the fact that his safety could not be guaranteed. How is that disgusting may I ask. Please seek out other posters views on the original thread.
  17. Its alright Jups I like Sean too. His eyebrows are very much like Robbie's aren't they? and his mouth in that picture too.
  18. Well as you have put on offer pictures of 3 half naked men, isn't it funny how two are a turn off, and one I could jump on. :yahoo:
  19. Oh I get it, don't mind me, drool away. :naughty:
  20. Thanks for putting up the pictures Sparkle, I have really enjoyed goggling all the piccies. I hate men you wax it doesn't look right to me..and I just love Robbie's hairy chest, more than anyones elses hairy chest, I am so pleased he never changed the look for the smooth bod.
  21. Oh goodness me, I am going to spoil it all, but I can't see any likeness at all. Clive Owen's features are far heavier than Robbie's. I do think Ewan sometimes has a smile like Robbie, a winning one, but thats it. Sorry :(
  22. Absolutely right HM, 50cents is not so popular here, and he flippin knows how big Robbie is, how many times have we sussed out a PR whammy, when an album is out, the last being Mel C. 50cents is doing the same, its funny just how much people do not realise just how big Robbie is outside the UK.
  23. Thats very impressive isn't it? winning 4 and 3 International Hits of the Year.
