That's not really an excuse mind, unless his team are double-taking. The album would've been long finished by now.
  6. A few non-story British defenders flitting about today. Elsewhere Szczesny joins Roma on a season-loan deal. There was a spell earlier this summer when I was genuinely convinced we were gonna replace De Gea with him. Praise the lord that didn't come off.
  7. I've been wanting to make a thread on this for days but after my other one FRANKLY BOMBED I thought less of it. 'Pretty Pimpin' is so lovely right now, I think it's probably his most accessible since 'Jesus Fever'.
  8. It's all subjective really and, like he said, down to whatever media outlets you look at. United had a few in Fergie's era (Veron springs to mind), but that was a whole different day in the life of football all together and naturally would escape as much of a backlash. In terms of immediate present, Falcao? di Maria? I'd say Falcao received just as much flack as any Liverpool player that floundered. Like I said, I think your eyes are more susceptible to sting when reading about a player who once played (albeit poorly/not very often) for your own club.
  9. Perhaps. Andy Carroll being British transfer-fee record and being such a flop of astronomical heights kind of set a precedent. It just so happened you then 'did a Tottenham' just a few seasons later. If you want a real anti-United agenda dip into anything Duncan Castles puts out in The Times, it's almost unreadable if not for the comedy value.
  10. There was a time when I genuinely thought 'Wenu Wenu' was the best thing ever. Didn't have this down to be a BuzzJack thing I must say. Hit me up with the GO TO TRACKS Pav.
  11. I'd say the cashflow would certainly be taken into account. Not so much in the sense of it being a struggle to stump it up but being mindful of what is going where. Ed's had too much stick not to. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've seen Otamendi play but he's appeared a complete fraud each time. Ramos would be a f***ing nightmare in the prem, whether he was a success or not. Either would be a step up from that awful, awful merry-go-round of Jones/Evans/Smalling though.
  12. I'm assuming the sale of di Maria will push through another signing, maybe two. It all seems very regimented and a game of freeing up cash this summer which I guess is more sensible than the absolute shambles of two summers ago. If pressed I'd say we'll end up with Pedro and Otamendi. In the grand scheme of things it's a step down from Ramos, Muller, Bale, etc. but it's all improvement.
  13. I'm in two minds between Stoke. A lot of good business but a lot of it seems to be angling towards some sort of exotic re-brand too. Will be very interesting to see how the land lies with this one.
  14. Particularly under the Louis regime there seems a real hurried process going on. Title, three years, no afterthought for prices or how long specifically the club can get out of a player. My worry is where that will leave us in 5 years time. It's been all over my Twitter feed since it became blatantly obvious we'd be mad to stump up the kind of cash being asked for him. Maybe your personal leanings have allowed you to overlook this?
  15. Golden Boot: Diego Costa Golden Glove: Thibaut Courtois Player Of The Year: Mesut Ozil Young Player Of The Year: Memphis Depay Manager Of The Season: Jose Mourinho And some of the less envied "prizes": Most Red Cards: Leicester City First Managerial Sacking: Tim Sherwood
  16. My understanding is Herrera/Carrick-Schneiderlin are set to be our two central midfielders with Schweinsteiger playing an almost Paul Scholes/Ryan Giggs role later in their respective careers. As for the striker I'm inclined to agree. Although Rooney, Hernandez, Wilson with the possibility of Depay/Fellaini at centre forward isn't all bad. Certainly has goals in it, just not title-winning numbers of goals.
  17. Louis wants the title and (apparently) a Champions League final in his 3 years and, in relation to the age of some of his players, is buying accordingly. As pretty as it is on paper buying your di Maria's and Schweinsteiger's I can't help but think he's gonna leave a massive black hole behind once he leaves.
  18. Most of the spending is Ed Woodward's doing too I would imagine, Louis is just pointing him in the right direction. Think any manager brought in would be championed to spend big. It's apparently the way we want to move forward for the next few years.
  19. He'll get his three years regardless I'd have thought. If for nothing more than the fact he's Jorge Mendes' best mate and holds too much stroke on the political side of things.
  20. Falcao?
