  1. Can someone fill me in on what Darius has been up to since his last top 40 single release 10 yrs ago? (180 characters or less pls, twitter generation, etc.)
  2. Suus, I used to have a PM storage of 750 when I was a moderator but since being cruelly removed (with little to no reason given, DIFFERENT STORY DIFFERENT DAY) I presume my PM limit has decreased? I deleted a few PMs but still have the 'Messenger FULL!' message. How many do I need to delete to not have a full inbox/how many inbox messages are us everyday commoners allowed? Thanks, Qass
  3. Lots of excite. I inadvertently saw HEALTH live several times as a consequence of Crystal Castles being an awesome live band (RIP). Always very consuming, very intense.
  4. Dzeko's had a consistently good return rate (largely from the bench) since he joined the club, minus a bit of a foggy patch this season where he's largely been hampered by injury. 3rd in City's all time Premier League goal scorers. Think their fans have their gripes with him mostly because of his style of play and stroll-through-the-park mentality, in contrast to Bony who'll make more of a nuisance of himself/do a bit more running. Kind of similar to the frustrations Spurs and United fans had with Berbatov. His class can't really be called into play though. On a personal level, I'd take Dzeko in my team over Bony any day.
  5. I can't fathom out the De Gea/Valdes situation. If he's there to put pressure on De Gea's starting XI spot then it's all well and good (Lindegaard is abysmal). Louis does seem to typically prefer having two good players for each position too. That being said, I don't understand why the goalkeeper position would be an area you'd even attempt to strengthen. Our goalie's been the only consistently good player for the past season and half. There's the ever-present hole in our central defence and something's definitely amiss in midfield. Louis doesn't seem too struck on Mata's lack of pace in a pressing team and something's not quite right with baby Ander.
  6. PS hi Ren :hi:
  7. Why not keep hold of Negredo though? He did fantastically well with them prior to his injury and didn't really get any chance thereafter. I know there were hints at a behind-closed-doors job. In terms of the influence they both can have on the game I'd probably still take Negredo. Definitely more adept at tracking back to the halfway line and channelling the flanks.
  8. At what point will Bony realistically be anything more than third best during this season? Barring another injury crisis they're paying £30m for a player who may get a decent domestic cup run with them if he's lucky. One of the most frivolous, profligate acts of transfer policy I can ever recall in the Premier League.
  9. Sinclair's all pace and not really much else. He had his season with Swansea but Nathan Dyer was just as good for them that season. It was a ridiculous buy. The club's you listed would probably benefit from him, especially Villa who don't seem to be fancying this scoring goals malarkey this season. Anyone above stable mid-table status, he'd struggle.
  10. Bony is the complete antithesis of what Manchester City have been trying to create for themselves over the past 5 seasons in terms of both creative imagery and style of play. Granted he's a proven Premier League goalscorer but £30m quoted for a striker who won't get a sniff with Aguero/Jovetic/Dzeko fit is stupider than any Scott Sinclair or Javi Garcia deal they've come up with in the past. I'm all for enhancing your chances for a title battle as much as possible if funds are available but seriously. Wilfried Bony. Manchester City. Fucking hell.
  11. Believe it or not I OBVIOUSLY AM. Thanks for the username tribute though. I trust you got a selfie stick for Christmas?

  13. Anyone who is anyone blatantly would've rated Chandelier as the best song of last year. U R definitely a someone Jake. Saluti e baci my little pumpkin seed (ready to be placed in a pot of seed compost waiting to flourish into a big juicy orange pumpkin) xx
  14. The 'get the fuck away from me' moment in Nearly Midnight, Honolulu
  15. Well this was wonderful, wasn't it?
  16. Has it dawned on us all yet that Jose Mourinho isn't the antichrist?
  17. 1 Manchester United 2 Manchester City 3 Chelsea 4 Tottenham 5 Arsenal 6 Liverpool 7 Everton 8 Swansea City 9 West Ham United 10 Southampton 11 Fulham 12 Norwich City 13 Aston Villa 14 Newcastle United 15 Cardiff City 16 West Bromwich Albion 17 Stoke City 18 Crystal Palace 19 Sunderland 20 Hull City The top three order (and winner) is an absolute lottery right now. Not a clue how any of them will fare following the summer upheaval. Don't think any other team are even remotely close to winning the league or challenging for top three however. Think Spurs and Crystal Palace will give it a good go at opposite ends of the table, mixed fortunes.

With all due respect Craig it's very easy as fans to dress up our team of choice. Just out of interest, aside from YouTube how much have you actually seen of Chadli and Paulinho in realtime footballing situations? If you're actually trying to justify Bale turning down Real Madrid solely on the grounds of him currently being a Spurs player, sadly I think it's you who's stark raving bonkers.

The longer this goes on the longer I'm seeing Bale as nothing more than a massive, massive bottler. Happy prancing about at Spurs, talk of mixing it with the big boys at a proper European hardhitter? No way. I don't buy that he's up there with the Ronaldo's or Messi's of this world (in fact I find 99% of the idiot whirlwind around him quite ridiculous) but his talents obviously should resonate slightly further than Tottenham and their 'ambitions'.

The whole Suarez affair is one of the strangest transfer sagas I can recall. The fact alone that a clause can be so heavily misinterpreted is really shoddy work, now there's talk of the Premier League stepping in to resolve the issue too? As for Suarez himself, I couldn't see the Arsenal deal being a mind games tactic to push through a potential Madrid transfer. Twitter's rife (...I know LOL) with rumour of Arsenal holding back on potential Osvaldo deals, etc. to focus fully on getting Suarez to the Emirates. Would think the club would have a bit more about them than to steam in so mindlessly and so blinkered. Then again it's Arsenal. The ever affable and ever eager to be patronised whipping boys of the English elite.

I'd say he is. Our most consistently poor regular starter for the past two seasons. Far too many silly spare-of-the-moment decisions and goes wandering up the field far too often for a man with such deteriorating pace. I'd take Baines over him any day.
  23. Mikey the idea of your personal chart still in working order after all these years is incredible. A real testiment to continuity and will power. Well done.
  24. Not even a PM? After all my hard work and effort over the years?! You heartless swines.
