Really good midweek numbers for Tears For Fears.

HMV are selling Sour at £5.99! Never known a week one release to be so cheap. Is this allowed in he chart rules?

Numan's sales figures are excellent. He must be one of the few artists who have increased sales of studio albums over the past 10 years. I guess the trend is going in the opposite direction. Gary does have a hard-core following but as a fan myself I think a lot of the credit for the new interest in him and his music must go to his producer Ade Fenton. He is the one who has made his music relevant again.

Yeah, decent midweek sales for Gary Numan. Hoping he can hold on for his second No-2 album in a row. If BMG had released it when originally planned back in March it would have hit No-1.

Are there no sales figures then? Any idea what the Gary Numan 'Intruder' sales figure is? I would estimate it at around 20k. Not too sure about Numan falling back to No-4 or No-5 though. His sales seem to be quite strong. Would just like to have known the figures.

What sort of album figures are we expecting from Olivia ? I am hoping Gary Numan can get a Top 3 album with his new studio album Intruder but there is a bit of competition this week.

What was the chart period around 1980-85 then? If The Jam were releasing their singles on a Monday and others on a Thursday or Friday, how long was the initial first week period? Guess what I am trying to say is why were those Monday to Wednesday sales not picked up in the previous week? I remember listening to Radio 1 on a Tuesday lunch time back in the summer of 1982 and they would reveal the highest climber on the chart then play the highest new entry and then finally the complete new Top 5 singles. That was an exclusive back then. Top of The Pops would then follow on the Thursday evening and the full chart would be.played on Radio 1 5-7pm on the Sunday. The 'new' chart would then be revealed again on the following Tuesday. So....my question is, what was the period which was eligible for one weeks chart and how did The Jam for example manage to get 2 or 3 extra days? Makes no sense surely?

Is it possible to find out how many copies a particular single sold week by week back in the late 70's/early 80's? If for example I wanted to know how many copies Gary Numan's single 'We Are Glass' (reached No-5 in May 1980 and spent 7 weeks on the chart ) is there anywhere I could obtain the week by week figures? Just curious.

With 100 million worldwide views on you tube of their new single what are the predictions for the new Blackpink single?

Edinburgh has been saved too. Landlords reducing the rent. Its a clever strategy.....claim you are going to close down so that you get a rent reduction. Game are doing the same thing.

The price of vinyl is ridiculous. They obviously need to charge these prices to make their margins but no....far too expensive. I am a big vinyl collector and 90% of the time I walk out with nothing in my hand. So....if am doing that who is buying the vinyl at these crazy prices?

What about December Will be Magic Again by Kate Bush? How on earth did that not make the top 100 40 years ago??!

Great to see Gary Numan's 1982 LP I, Assassin New at No-33 midweek. Any idea how many copies it has sold to get there this week? With a bit of luck it will stay in the Top 100 on Friday.

Any news on the Gary Numan single and album?

Fantastic to see Gary Numan with new entries on BOTH the singles and albums charts this midweek. Do you know how many copies of the Savage - Live at Brixton album were sold to get it to No-29? As for the single, really unusual for an older artist such as Gary to make it on the singles chart. It's not done very often these days. Do you know how many copies of the Fallen EP were sold to get it to No-54 midweek? Hoping both can hold on in the Top 100 at the end of the week.

Great to see Gary Numan holding strong at No-2 on the albums. Is 5k enough at over Ed at No-3 do you think?
