  1. Steve Gale, I googled him and guess what? I Couldn't find this article or him, maybe that's because it was a teletext review, obviously another unhappy Paul Potts fan. Maybe he should have gone to bed with a nice cup of cocoa and the album by the wannabee Russell Watson singer as the rowdiness of an Enemy concert must have got to him. The Stereophonics personally asked The Enemy to be their support act are you saying The Stereophonics have got no taste? Glad you like the bands singles, you can check them out on Radio one live lounge dec 13th, obviously Jo Wiley has taste too. :)
  2. Tom Clarke no.15 :) I heard he's put Coventry on the map as one of the 10 coolest places to live in the world, I think it was in the Guardian, I can definately say 'it's not true, it's definately not cool'
  3. It's odd isn't it, maybe its because they release the first single, then the album quickly after and then they release the second single, but if people have the album why would they want to buy the second single unless they're die hard fans of the band/act? The Enemy released 2 songs, away from here and had enough which went straight into the top 10, then they released the album which went to no.1 then they released you're not alone which I think charted at no. 18 and they'll be releasing a 4th single we'll live and die in these towns on 3rd december I think, hopefully it will go top 20 as it's a great song, so they've done quite well by the looks of it.:)
  4. Did you see the enemy supporting them, what was the crowd reaction like cause their gigs are normally crazy?
  5. How was it a marketing scam? Most people had never heard of them when they released this 7 inch. Nobody knew if they would do well or not. It was released for the dedicated fans as a thankyou for our support. If you can find the next big thing and buy their single before they're known about and then see it's value rise then good luck to you.
  6. It was only released on 7 inch vinyl, on Stiff records, and was limited to 1000 copies and it sold out in 24 hours which is probably why you couldn't find it, you can find them on ebay sometimes although they go for over £30 now. You can also buy the promo cd of it on ebay although the price varies from £3 to £20. They were selling for £20 when the album went to no.1 but the price has dropped now, it is worth buying as it's quite nice. I really don't think they're re-releasing 40 days and 40 nights, but they will be releasing another song from the Album, I will try and find out what it is and let you know. I've got a feeling it might be we'll live and die in these towns as they've just put that song on their myspace page.
  7. Hey, great post. Why are people asking if they're better than The Jam? Of course they're not better than The Jam, they're only just starting out, pretty good start though. Have you seen them live before? They are pretty fantastic

Hi, thanks for the info :) Mykul has good taste :D
  10. Hey, hasn't everyone had enough of working. They've got old heads on young shoulders, They're next song you're not alone is actually about Peugeot shutting down the Peugeot factory in Coventry. They write songs about everyday life and how they don't want to grow up and have dead end jobs like their friends and families i'm sure most working class people would agree with them, and when they got their record deal they were selling TV's and temping so they've done brilliantly and will be an inspiration to lots of young bands i'm sure. One year they're selling TV's, next year they have a number one album and are picked to support The Rolling Stones at the 02 arena, not bad really.
