I was expecting a pure pop record like No Tears Left To Cry, instead she went full 90s house music direction, which suits her, although I'm not sure that is the direction for a huge US smash. However if she manages to influence more american artists to go that route, then it'll be a welcome change to what is dominating the charts there right now

Sales in 2003 were awful so I'm not too shocked. I remember at that point it was the first year without a million seller
