  14. Just found this... Boy George trashed Boy George is to become a trashman A New York judge has ordered the former Culture Club frontman - real name George O'Dowd - to do five days of community service after he admitted to wasting police time. On hearing the decision, the star joked: "I've always been a scrubber." Keith Mellis, spokesman for the New York Department of Sanitation, said: "He will be part of our team. We won't know exactly what he will be doing for several weeks, though." The sentence was handed down after George telephoned police and falsely reported a burglary at his Manhattan apartment last October. If the 'Karma Chameleon' singer fails to carry out his community service, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Anthony Ferrara has threatened to send him to jail. Meanwhile, George's former band, Culture Club, are to reunite - without him. They have placed an advert for a vocalist, which reads: "We want a unique vocalist with a brilliant voice to take part in a 2007 world tour and TV series. "We do not want a karaoke Boy George 'lookalike' but a charismatic and unique performer in his or her own right."
