Lovin the song, especially the chorus! The vid is quite alright. At the end when she's dancing with the ball of light, now that's really cool!

Official New Album 'Hard Candy' Thread!
Don't quite like the bricks, jeans, graffiti thing either. Not only does it sound like PINK but it's like she's doing that Hollywood Groove/Gap ad thing with Missy all over again too. But it's madonna, so I'll give her a benefit of a doubt cos she is pop's chameleon & re-inventor afterall! About the album being release in February, I thought it's impossible too, most likely it's a single release date, like u said. But according to MADONNAdownload, "Sources within Warner Music supposedly told them that in a bid to fight early online leaks that may happen soon, the record company decided to move the release of Madonna's new album to February".

M To Re-Release All Her Singles Next Year
From MadonnaTribe After a very quiet Xmas day for Madonna news, UK tabloid The Sun has published a new rumour on the pages of their newly directed Bizarre column by Gordon Smart. The newspaper reports of Madonna planning to beat Elvis Presley's record for the most UK #1 Hit Singles by re-releasing all of her singles next year as digital downlads. The Sun reports that the massive re-release would coincide with the Queen of Pop's 50th birthday in August, in a time that they call "a Madgefest" marked with a massive gig in New York to mark the milestone. This is the second time a rumour about 2008 being a year of Madonna re-issues is reported, the first being a commentary by James Mastersonat www.dotmusic.com, who mentioned a possible reissue programme involving Madonna's back catalogue next year.

New Madonna song--Little by Little
Yes, this 'die-hard' fan :P have heard of it but have absolutely no idea whether it's an official madonna song or where it came from. It's definitely her voice on it reciting some sort of poem. I think MG's right, must be some fan creation. It's quite well done tho.

Madonna enters the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Madonna On Her Induction. Madonna speaketh: Incoming Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Madonna considers herself in good company. "I was fortunate to have inducted my idol David Bowie a few years back, so to be included alongside him and so many other amazing artists that have come before me is an honor," the pop icon said in a statement to The Plain Dealer, sent Friday through her publicist. Madonna did indeed do the honors when Bowie was enshrined in 1996, although he chose not to attend the festivities. Madonna is expected to be on hand for the Rock Hall's 23rd annual induction ceremony Monday, March 10, at New York City's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, her publicist said. The other performers in the Rock Hall's Class of 2008 are the Ventures, John Mellencamp, the Dave Clark Five and Leonard Cohen.

From MadonnaTribe : Final confirmation is just in from M-Tribe's sources that the first single from Madonna's upcoming album will be "4 Minutes To Save The World". We can also exclusively report that Madonna will film the video for the opening single of her 2008 album in January. The clip will be directed by Jonas Akerlund and both Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are going to be there too. As exclusively reported on this site last month, "4 Minutes To Save The World" is an upbeat hip-hop Madonna/Justin Timberlake duet and is one of the tracks produced by Justin together with Timbaland - a song with an instantly catchy vibe, with percussion layers and hypnotic synthetized strings. In more album related last minute news, we've always been told that "Across the Sky" is not set to be released on the album anymore. ============================================================== :w00t:

Tori Amos Pissed!
I was thinking along the same lines.Who knows, maybe one of the girls got diarrhea from a bad meal earlier on or something & have to go back & forth to the loo & she just wanted her friend to tag alone in case anything happens. It's a possible scenario! I love Tori Amos but I was quite taken aback when I heard of this. I feel sorry for the girls being pointed out publicly like that. And about the Kate Bush comparison, Tori will forever have that riding on her but I really don't care about that. All I know is that I love her music. Exactly! I mean, where would any musician be without their fans. And, even if they weren't fans, I think she shud've at least finish the song, then get one of her people to quietly tell the girls their going-ons are interrupting the show & affecting the other fans.

MADONNA SLAMS AGE STEREOTYPES
"Once you reach a certain age you're not allowed to be adventurous, you're not allowed to be sexual. I mean, is there a rule? Are you supposed to just die?" God I love that quote! Pure madonna!

Madonna enters the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
There is so much hoo-haa surrounding her induction it's ridiculous. So many people are livid saying that her music doesn't have roots in rock & that she doesn't deserve to be inducted & blah blah blah I really can't stand it! She never conforms, always does her own thing & she doesn't give a flying fukc what people think of her! She brings up the underground & marry it with mainstream, always pushing boundaries, giving another perspective & affecting people around her! Those traits are rock & roll! And her music has got some rock in them sometimes! Gambler, Crazy For You, Like A Prayer, Candy Perfume Girl, I Love New York etc! So I really don't understand people being anal about it! Read this! : "Finally, Madonna gets peer cred as being an inductee, in her first year of eligibility to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I am a HUGE Madonna fan and I love her music and iconoclastic performances of the same. However, just because Madonna is the most successful female artist of all time, doesn't mean she makes rock music. There is a huge dissent amongst music fans as to whether she's valuable enough to place in the Hall of Fame. I consider this criticism unfounded, and mostly from middle-aged men who miss their rock bands of the 70s and can't stand the fact that a middle aged women has done better then they have...or flat out misogynists. Madonna has mostly written songs in punk formats. These formats have been produced into everything from disco, girl group fanfare, pop, light rock, house, R&B, electronica, euro dance, techno folk, then modernized disco (again) and come this Spring, hip-hop. Her ability to elevate the avant garde and underground into commercial success is astronomical. I am so grateful about that cos it let's me hear/learn about new things I may not have been exposed to. Her attitude is so punk/rock-n-roll, however, her music is still commercial. I will never hold that against Madonna. In fact, I think her ability to bring that front to the forward, on the square is so rare and special, it is what makes her so worthy of being an inductee. Madonna is f***ing amazing. But to put her out there like some brilliant rock musician or lyricist, is a fraud. She ingeniously promotes what she's learned/feels/heard in life so we all can have it. In a really f***ed up analogy, it's like she's the first author of the Bible for female artists. She deserves to be in the R&R Hall of Fame because of her redefinition of the role of women in music and how much control they have creatively, business wise or image wise. As Susan Sarandon put it, there are two catagories of women in music, those before Madonna and those that came after Madonna. Take it for what it's worth." SeRaphinE From MADONNATRIBE!

Official New Album 'Hard Candy' Thread!
FROM DROWNEDMADONNA : Our reader Michael was listening to Z100 in New York on my way home from work and they were interviewing Timbaland backstage at Jingle Ball. As they were rapping up the interview they asked if he had anything else he wanting to mention and he said that coming up in the next quarter - he then said this January - look out for Madonna’s first single with him and Justin... "For the first quarter, January, we wanna look out for Madonna's first single which features me and Justin (Timberlake)," said Timbaland. "I did most of her album," Timbaland added. "Me and The Naptuers did the album. She (Madonna) has an incredible album!" We remind you that at the album listening party Madonna said that she didn't decide the first single yet, since she was undecided between "Candy Shop" (produced by Pharrell Williams/The Neptures) and "4 Minutes To Save The World" (produced by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake) . Even if she was all about "Candy Shop", Warner people attending the listening party suggested her to release "4 Minutes To Save The World" as fist single.

"Spinning Around"
When it first came out, I was crazy about it but these days when I listen to it, it seems to have lost it's appeal. I'm still crazy about On A Night Like This tho. But the one that I am absolutely love from the Light Years album is Your Disco Needs You! So kitsch & so disco I know, but so wickedly fun!
