I know its clear now that Xmas songs won't be as big as last year, but just to show how huge they were - on the same Saturday last year there were more Xmas songs in the top 10 than there are in the top 50 this year. This year is still pretty on par with 2019 though

Idk I feel like we kinda need to stop claiming that giving numbers and sales anything but absolute praise is calling it a flop (obv people may still outright call it a flop though) If Adele sells around the same as say ABBA in her first week, it would be fair to call it a fairly unexpected underperformance for her standards and what's expected form her - that's not calling it a flop

All Too Well (10 min version) is less than 50k behind Easy On Me on Spotify now, and 100k ahead of Shivers. Combined its way ahead obviously Taylor still has 13 songs in the top 50, the hold up for this re-recording is so incredible.

Both versions of All Too Well have climbed a little on Apple Music, now up to #7 and #17. Good sign for it holding well through the week

My predictions for this keep changing. A couple of weeks ago I was sure it would be Ed thinking he would still be on about 70k at this point, then I was thinking Rod, then ABBA after how well they continued to sell throughout last week, now I'm wondering if great streaming will help Taylor get there. I think for now I'm gonna go back to saying Rod - definitely the most interesting album chart for a while

Comparing it to Sunday the 10th 2019, its pretty much the exact same - a few places higher this year with a few thousand less streams.

I mean Christmas songs took up the entire Spotify top 10 at the end of November last year, they were definitely more dominant than ever, but the year seems like things will be going back to normal and just more of a Decmber impact yeah

Mariah at #52. Although on the same Sunday last year she was at #31 with 50k more streams and Wham were also top 50, seems like Xmas music won't be as dominant this November
