Saw them in Liverpool the other night, and I might have to start calling myself a Little Mix stan now, because they were absolutely incredible. The choreography in particular is ridiculously good. Major Destiny's Child vibes. Setlist wise, obviously the likes of 'Move' and 'DNA' were really good, but I was impressed by how great some of the more forgettable tracks on the new album sounded. 'Good Enough' worked surprisingly well in the encore, and I have a new found love for 'A Different Beat'. Otherwise, maybe they could have done without the 'Dark Horse' cover, and it was a bit of a shame not to hear 'These Four Walls'. Also their fanbase is ridiculously young. I was expecting a similar crowd to Girls Aloud last year, but it felt like me and my friend were the only ones there who weren't either under 12 or a parent.

So far this year I've seen Beyonce, Banks, Foxes, Metronomy, Rebecca Ferguson and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Seeing live music on a regular basis just wasn't a thing for me when living in Wales, and it's really proved to be one of the best things about moving away for Uni. I'm going to Bestival this year. The lineup's so good that I doubt I'll get to see everyone I'd ideally like to, but I'm hoping to at least definitely catch Paloma Faith, Chvrches, Outkast and Basement Jaxx. Otherwise I've got Little Mix on Friday, Gabriella Cilmi next week, and then The Saturdays, Kylie Minogue and Katy B later in the year. La Roux and Kyla La Grange are also possibilities (tickets still need to be bought).

Saw her perform in Bristol on Wednesday, and I can honestly say it was one of my most enjoyable gig experiences to date. She's just so ridiculously nice. And a lot of the new album really lends itself to a live set. I do wish she'd left the Modjo/Moloko covers alone and done 'Catch You' or 'Mixed You World' or something, but otherwise I have no complaints. The acoustic performance of the interlude at the end was especially brilliant. A man stood next to me was crying.

Oh excellent. Very excited about this. 'Love Angel Music Baby' is up there as one of my favourite albums of all time, and while 'The Sweet Escape' was a bit disappointing, it still gave us 'Early Winter' and '4 In The Morning'. Plus she is just generally fabulous.

I wouldn't technically call this a bad album, but it's not just what I'd want from a Shakira record. Half the songs sound like perfectly serviceable but ultimately forgettable Taylor Swift album tracks. 'Empire', 'Dare' and about 3 others would make for an excellent EP though.
