Didn't expect Round Round to do so well. I really like it, but I always feel it hasn't aged quite as well as their other classics.

Seems a very uninspired list this year. James Blake would be my preferred winner, though I enjoyed Foals, Disclosure and Laura Mvula too.

Missed a few episodes, but there's something rather vile about this apparent 'clique'. I really hope the winner is any of the other three. Louie and Mario are especially awful (and I was defending the former last week), but I could probably be happy enough with Charlotte winning.

No one was that impressive this week. I was excited about The Dolly Rockers (Boys Will Be Boys was AMAZING), so it's a shame they blow it with their second audition. Annoying that they weren't given another chance considering some of the others also failed to impress but got through. Euphoria Girls were also disappointing, since I unashamedly loved their first audition, but they always seemed like the type to fall at this stage. I find Abi and Melanie very boring. The former is just Janet Devlin all over again and is everything I don't want from this show, whilst the latter is clearly talented but unlikely to go anywhere.

Pretty decent results actually. In God's Hands is the only track I think could have done with being higher, very underrated.

Ugly is the real weak link of the songs still to come. It's a very nice song, and much better than a lot of other songs with the same sort of general message that other artists have released in the years since, but they have much better to their name. Very surprised that Overload dropped out so soon. As I said with Run For Cover, I always assumed there was a lot of adoration for the first line-up's material.

Not really sure how I feel about her working on more material. Perhaps rather selfishly, I wanted an album that was exclusively Xenomania, and from what we've heard so far I think it was on track to be one of the best pop albums of the year. I hope she doesn't tweak it too much. On another note, Shut Up gets a lot of unnecessary criticism. It wasn't the best choice of second single since she also had Truth Or Dare, but it still would have been a strong album track, and I'd consider Party Over to be the weak link of the three singles.

Starting to lose interest in this now. The pilot was promising, but it's annoying me that they all seem so calm about their situation, and that the dome itself doesn't seem to be at all central to episode plots.

A pleasant overall result. I've always considered Bad Romance a little overrated, and would have preferred a win for With Every Heartbeat, but it's still a great song. Titanium is the weak link of the top 10 for me - but maybe that's simply because of how overplayed it is, and I'll have warmed to it again by next year.

A decent episode on the whole. A little too Sharon centered at times, and her scripted bullshit got very tiring very quickly, but she wasn't quite as bad as I expected (live shows will be the real test I imagine). None of the contestants really stood out. Euphoria Girls were probably my favourite, and even then only because of how much they stand out compared to the usual crop of bland boys with acoustic guitars. The last woman was obviously very good technically, but she's hardly going to do any better than someone like Melanie last year.

Run For Cover being that low is really surprising. I thought it was guaranteed to finish top 10, if not the top 5 - but perhaps I've simply overestimated how much love there is for the first line-up. Everything else has gone pretty much as I would have hoped/expected though. I was concerned In The Middle and Caught In A Moment would drop out too early in particular.

I'm slowly warming to Charlotte. I still wouldn't especially want her to win, and I agree with Carol that she was exaggerating things tonight, but she's not quite as vile and unlikable as I was expecting. Courtney's also growing on me. Carol, Sophie and Louie are my favourites at this point, and I don't really see the issue with the latter. I think he seems pretty genuine, and neither Vicky or Danielle are coming across very well. I'm not especially bothered about who goes now.
