Poor old 'Come As You Are', I think it gets a worse result every year. Equally disappointed for 'Dip It Low', but otherwise a pleasing set.

Nice set of qualifiers on the whole. Always find it surprising that 'Leave Right Now' and 'Ignition' fail to automatically qualify.

I think Leanne was my favourite of the lot. Not sure what it says about me that the performance I enjoyed the most was arguable the most X-Factor-ish.

A shame, but if nothing else I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. I listened to both of her albums earlier (my way of mourning a career that probably won't recover from this anytime soon), and 'Overcome' is still up there as one of the best albums an X-Factor contestant has managed to produce. 'Bad Boys', 'Broken Heels' and 'All Night Long' were all fantastic songs, and even 'Start Without You' doesn't really deserve the stick it gets. The quality dip with the second album is rather unfortunate, but again it's not quite the atrocity it can be made out to be. I'll never understand why her X-Factor guest judge stint is described as her downfall though. I remember coming away from that episode thinking she'd done a charmingly good job.

Poor Rebecca. Done nothing for a good 3 episodes, but she was still my favourite. A very random firing, and as much as I like her, Francesca probably should have gone. I was really hoping Rebecca would outlast Luisa though, who essentially spent this episode making up for 2 episodes of me not despising her. A part of me still hopes she makes interviews, if only for the mess it would inevitably cause. Favourites are now Jason and Dr Leah, the latter of whom has now apparently decided her role in the show is the Crazy Psycho Bitch, which is always enjoyable. I like that Natalie's 'comeback' after her warning was essentially to say absolutely nothing through the entire task as well.

Not especially taken with this on first listen. I feel it could definitely grow on me, as most of her singles have tended to do in the past, but it all feels very lifeless and 'will this do?'. 'Party In The USA' will always be her best though, closely followed by 'See You Again'.

Pleasantly surprised to see this campaign still fighting on. I doubt either this or the album will do especially well, but as long as the latter actually ends up being released, I'll be pretty content. I didn't really think much of it at the time of release, but 'Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)' has really grown on me recently. Should have been huge.

Turns out 'No Man's Land' is a cover of one of my favourite Beverley Knight songs. Nothing on the original as far as I'm concerned, but it's nicely done. This is doing much worse than I expected, I thought she'd manage a low top 40 position at worst considering the time of year and the association with The Voice.

Pleasantly surprised by this, it's nowhere near being the mess I was half expecting it to be. You can tell they've had label issues admittedly, the drastic change in sound they've had since tracks like 'Betty Woz Gone' is really apparent, and it starts sounding a bit like two albums mixed together at times. 'Black Heart' is the obvious highlight still, but 'Slip', 'Jimmy' and 'Put The Kettle On' are also very good.

29 top 10 hits between them is a lot more than I'd have expected. Very impressive, considering the media usually portray their solo careers as having been disasters. Emma's 'Maybe' is definitely my favourite of the list, closely followed by 'Never Be The Same Again'.

Not a bad set of results in the end. 'Higher' for me is their best after 'Up' and 'Ego, but it's an acceptable winner all the same. Nice to see 'Work' do well, I often think it's very easy to overlook it as a great song. I didn't really like it at the time, but 'All Fired Up' eventually came to grow on me, as much as I'd struggle to ever consider it a highlight for them. 'What About Us' should be much lower though. I was pleased they got a #1 single with it, but that had nothing to do with the song itself as far as I was concerned.
