Quite a pleasing set of results so far. I'm happy to see 'Try', 'Pumped Up Kicks', 'The Loving Kind', 'Song 4 Mutya' and 'Be Mine' in the top 100. And decent showings for 'Scandalous' and 'Millionaire' too. Fairly disappointed in how The Saturdays have done. I'd have expected 'Higher' and 'Up' to be top 100, and I'd have hoped for 'Ego' to not fall out completely. I'm surprised at 'The Edge of Glory' doing so badly, and at Rihanna stumbling so much with Only Girl/What's My Name.

Voted! I'd have to agree with the general consensus that this was a brilliant final on the whole. Only one or two disappointments really.

Bloody Isconia. 'Lies' was my original choice of entry. DAMN YOU TO HELL WHOEVER YOU ARE. A few other songs I'm already familiar with too - 'Walk Through Walls', 'Tongue Tied', 'Last Day Of Summer', 'Gotcha', 'Hurricane' - but generally it's nice to be back. I'd forgotten how many new songs you can actually discover in this. Not really sure about my chances. Apparently Van She have been entered once before....and failed to qualify. Surprisingly, my first choice of entry has already been taken. Good thing I decided against mentioning how obscure I thought it was in my previous post then. And I think it has the potential to do quite well too, so obviously if it wins or something, I will react like a perfectly pleasant and sane human being (this is not happening at all). I've chosen a second song now, not really sure how successful it'll be, but I seem to remember the competition was never treated like a life and death situation, so I'll probably stick with it.

Excellent top 10! Definitely wouldn't have expected 'Shake It Out' to be the winner, I thought 'We Found Love' had it in the bag here, but a pleasant surprise. 'On The Floor' is the weak link of the top 10 for me, but even then, I'm quite the fan. Results get somewhat less pleasing lower down. I suppose 'Party Rock Anthem' and 'Moves Like Jagger' were some of the biggest songs of the year, but they're still terrible. Equally I have no time for 'Till The World Ends', especially when the superior 'Hold It Against Me' failed to qualify. Particularly disappointed at the poor showing for 'Hello' and the two Nicola Roberts tracks. I wouldn't even consider them bizarre qualifiers, from what I remember both received a lot of hype on the site even if this didn't translate into good sales. 'Notorious' and 'Best Thing I Ever Had' failing to qualify is also unfortunate. Though the blow is softened somewhat by the equally poor showings of 'Price Tag' and 'Judas'.

Have sneaking suspicion I have some glaring omissions though. Big Brother and Glee mostly included on past glories, both are currently rather terrible. I think I've succeeded in not including too many reality/chat shows, even if I did come dangerously close to including Strictly Come Dancing.

That's not a bad set of results actually. Nice to see 'Wonderful Life' get some appreciation. Pleasantly surprised by how well 'Oh No' and 'Katy On A Mission' did as well. And of course 'Dancing On My Own' is a fantastic winner. I wouldn't really consider 'Telephone' anything special though, but a brilliant top 10 on the whole. The only dropouts I'm particularly disappointed at are 'Commander' and 'Empire State Of Mind Part II'. I wouldn't consider either particularly surprising, the former in particular hasn't really aged well, and it's only been 2 years. Surprised at 'California Gurls' more than anything else.
