A 6th week at number 1 for Utada Hikaru with the wonderful "Passion" - the english version is growing on me now too but the Japanese is the better flowing. Utada also holds number 2 under her english guise with YMMWTBAM, a superbly mad dance track. I urge everyone to the find these first two songs!!! Apart from that, Charlotte Martin's live dvd pushes her back up to 3rd and PJ Harvey's live DVD pushes one of her most screwy b-sides Uh-Huh-Her (which she gave her last album that title too) up to 5th since I'd not heard it and it sound mighty evil! New entries are Unto Ashes, a wonderful gothic middle ages band with many beautiful and weird and wonderful instruments, Emiliana Torrini with her beautiful acoustic song "Sunny Road". And with the eurovision upcoming I've rediscovered Ruslana & Sertabs albums which are both rather funky :dance: Thanks for reading! Any questions on artists feel free to shoot :) Si :cheer:

Dancer in the Dark was the first film I remember crying in when I became an adult! Love it. Si

Cant believe we haven't had a Bjork thread yet! :) Such an original master of the soundwaves. I enjoy all of her albums since her debut as a solo artist (I just can't get into the Sugarcubes music) but I must admit the Drawing Restraint 9 soundtrack is very hit and miss for me. Word has it she's already working on a new album which would be fantastic, I just wonder where her music will run off to next! :wub: Also her music videos make for some major entertainment - everyone should watch her video collection at least once - even my mum who thinks she's a complete nutcase was watching her videos very intrested! Si

Right this chart surprised me more than before as I've really fell into my Japanese catalogue this week. Utada Hikaru still keeps number 1 with the amazing Passion, I swear everyone neeeeds to watch the Music Video for that song, its simply amazing. I don't think she'll be off no.1 for a bit yet! Infact technically she has number 2 as well. I've debated since I joined whether to include Utada (her english persona) & Utada Hikaru (her japanese one) in the same chart but I cant contain my love for Utada any longer. YMMWTBAM is a stunning song that completely flopped here in the UK (charting #127 i think) but the songs the best and the music videos excellent! Visa Roster drops to 3rd with their accepela madness, with new entry Hannah Fury in at no.4 after I spent about 2 hours going through every song of hers I have bought last night! She has the most weirdest layered vocals ever, its spooky cool! She's followed by Charlotte Martin at No.5. She could grab the top spot soon as her DVD is shipping its way to me as you read yay! PJ Harvey's NE at 11 should rise as I got her new DVD last night and will be watching it over and over this week I'm sure, with the extreme low-fi rocker Nina Nastasia creeping in the charts too. I've included the music videos for everysong that I could find one for on youtube, as everyone goes "I dont know any of these random people!!! Ive got it. Probably my least favourite album of PJ's if I have one. Still a great album though, its just a bit inconsistant. My fav songs from it are Taut, That Was My Veil, City of No Sun & Urn With Dead Flowers in a Drained Pool. :) Si

They've changed the scoring?!?!?! Nooooooooooooooo I loved it when everyone got confused and they started waffling off for no reason. I bet its because of TV revenue money as ever.... I personally think while politics do have some influence, countries living next to eachother generally have very similar musical tastes and therefore will like their neighbours music better. Si

PJ Harvey is a rather catchy and very talented lady who manages to come up with some of the best 3/4 chord riffs I've ever heard. She's pure anger and emotion and me gives her... :wub: Two thumbs up! She has her first DVD out May 1st and it's a live one following her around the world. I can't wait for it ^_^ Anyone else fans? Si

I do like the fact someone can appreciate someone like Enya in context with the rest of your chart's genres. It shows real depth and class that you can enjoy all kinds of music. Which is very good :) Si

No sadly not, she did "The Same Star" and "Dances With Wolves". I love that album though, even if it's all quite the same, I've not heard anything else quite like it :)
