----------------------------- Sitorimon's Chart #4 28/04/06 ----------------------------- 01) (01) Utada Hikaru - Passion (4wks) 02) (02) Visa Rosta - Internation Karate 03) (07) Ayumi Hamasaki - Alterna 04) (05) Charlotte Martin - Four Walls 05) (08) Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim 06) (04) Fiona Apple - Not About love 07) (NE) Cocteau Twins - Beatrix 08) (06) Tori Amos - Jamaicaa Inn 09) (03) Secret Garden - Moving 10) (NE) Yae - Estas Mesas Tan Hermosas (These Beautiful Tables) 11) (10) Shena Ringo - Identity 12) (14) Nobuo Uematsu - Inturepted By Fireworks 13) (19) Kate Bush - Nocturn 14) (11) Hiroko Kokubu - Eternity ~ Memory of Lightwaves 15) (16) Imogen Heap - Loose Ends 16) (NE) Yasunori Mitsuda / Millenial Fair - Melkaba 17) (15) Bjork - Hidden Place 18) (18) Sarah Slean - Weight 19) (NE) Ruslana - Arcan 20) (NE) Sitorimon - Berkana ------------ Comments ------------ Utada Hiakru stays on top for a 4th week (out of 4) with the mighty Passion, one of the best alternative pop songs I've ever heard in my life! I cannot wait for her new album in June!!! Also staying in second are accepela swedish group Visa Rosta who do vocal versions of Commodore computer games?!?! But hearing 6 people get on stage and do funny chinese "d-d-de d-d-de da-da-deee"'s is just as helerious as it is catchy. They also sent me a lovely little note when they posted their CD's to me this week too. Ayumi Hamasaki - Japan's answer to Madonna if she had a guitar and could really go mental. I recently got her Countdown 2005/2006 DVD and her concerts absolutely amaze me. She gets carted off 60 feet into the air on a crystal cross during one of her songs! Great stuff! Charlotte martin sticks it out in 4th, her new DVD comes out 1st May so she'll be vying for no.1 very soon I think. Dead Can Dance are a mighty force and they stay 5th. New Entries see my new favourite Yae & Cocteau Twins songs blast into the charts, while I rediscovered Yasunori Mitsuda's collaboration album with Irish Tradionalists Millenial Fair this week and my god its fantastic. Also with Eurovision fever Ruslana's excellent album is back in play and Arcan is my fav track from that CD. Also a little mention to me, I recorded an EP yesterday and I'm really pleased with one song in particular - Berkana :) You can hear it on www.myspace.com/sitorimon  Thanks for reading! Si

Kate Bush
I have The Whole Story and The Video Collection on Video which brings you all the vids up to Hounds of Love which is great. I also have Live at The Hammersmith, which was from her live tour where she invented head mics would you believe! The live shows are like her redoing the music videos and she sings perfectly along and only lipsnychs Hammer Horror since she's being thrown around like a ball! The Sensual World video gives you a great 20 minute interview with her about the album, and is one of the very few times she actually is talking quite happily away, its very mich to see. The music vids for that album are lovely too. Then you have The Line, The Cross & The Curve which is the biggest piece of camp strangeness ever but well worth a watch :) It's like 7 Red Shoes songs linked together in video with a story. Si

Much love for Kate and Fiona :)

Kate Bush
I dont see her releasing anything from the second cd of Aerial as she said she wants it to be listened as a continous piece, so my guess is Jonni or HTBI as next single, although if Pi ever got to number 1 I'd go delerious! I love her videos, its about time they got digitally remastered for a DVD release I think! Si

New Tori Amos Album (CULTURE BOX NEWS)
CULTURE BOX: Bohemian singer-songwriters My favourite singer/songwriter I believe for the last 6 years at least. While her popularity in the Uk has gone down, she's still a force in the USA and I have almost bought her entire single/album collection and have yet to find a song I have not fell in love with I'd like to see yet another direction change for the new album she'll probably have out in 2007 though, its not like her to stay in the same place for more than 2 albums! Anyone else a supporter of hers? Sitorimon

Kate Bush
I'm a HUGE Kate Bush fan! It's the pull of the bush! I adore Hounds of Love and The Dreaming (albums) and Aerial was quite stunning. I've been building up to getting the box set (This Womans Work) with the 2cd's of b-sides but its so expensive since I already have all the albums. I will get it one day though. EMI have said Aerial will have a second single, and that The Whole Story will be rereleased as an updated version this Christmas:) Wooo! Si

Sitorimon's Chart #3
----------------------------- Sitorimon's Chart #3 20/04/06 ----------------------------- 01) (01) Utada Hikaru - Passion (3wks) http://img.hmv.co.jp/image/jacket/190/14/4/0/562.jpg 02) (13) Visa Roster - International Karate 03) (NE) Secret Garden - Moving http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5424962.JPG 04) (NE) Fiona Apple - Not About Love http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876736362.JPG 05) (02) Charlotte Martin - Four Walls 06) (03) Tori Amos - Jamaica Inn 07) (09) Ayumi Hamasaki - Alterna 08) (NE) Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim 09) (14) PJ Harvey - A Place Called Home 10) (05) Shiina Ringo - Identity 11) (11) Hiroko Kokubu - Eternity ~ Memory of Lightwaves 12) (16) Cocteau Twins - In Our Angelhood 13) (18) Yo$h!taka Hirota - Star-Shape 14) (NE) Nobuo Uematsu - Interupted By Fireworks 15) (19) Bjork - Hidden Place 16) (10) Imogen Heap - Loose Ends 17) (07) Yae - My Dear 18) (NE) Sarah Slean - Weight 19) (12) Kate Bush - Nocturn 20) (06) Bic Runga - Blue Blue Heart ------------ Well for the 3rd week in a row, Utada Hikaru's Passion holds top spot by a long way! The Japanese vocal tune to Kingdom Hearts II is fantastic and I prefer it to her english version. Even better she's got her new album out June and a tour after, I can't wait!!! Visa Roster leap up with their accepela madness that is International Karate! I've just bought their CD's from their website and they sent me a very nice message which made my day! Highest new entry comes from Secret Garden, who won the eurovision back in the 1990's! I recently got their live DVD this week and so I'm going through a major Secret Garden lovefest!!! Fiona Apple's fantastic single Not About Love has returned to my head this week after I watched the DVD side of the dual layer disc and looooved the music video!!! Super funny stuff! Charlotte Martin holds no.5 with her electronic fest that is Four Walls, and her first dvd comes out May 1st. In an effort to keep this chart diverse I am only selecting my current favourite song from my favourite artists so that's why Dead Can Dance, Nobuo Uematsu & Sarah Slean all have NE in the charts this week. Cue the "I dont know these" replies  Si

Sitorimon Top 20 Chart #2
-------------- Sarah Slean -------------- Sarah Slean is a Canadian singer songwriter who likes her pianos and more recently has gone into a band effort with electronica bits and bops in. Her early albums are mostly beautiful ballads and quirky uptempo cabaret style songs. She also does one or two songs where she uses her almost operatic voice skills to make a choir of only her! The rest of the time her voice is silky smooth though. Also Radiohead fans might note she put a live cover of Climbing Up The Walls on her first EP which is fantastic. Recommended Songs: Weight (there's 4 versions but all are great), Pilgrim, Twin Moon www.sarahslean.com ------------------ Charlotte Martin ------------------ Charlotte Martin is another piano girl that is building up her fan base by breaking out of her record deal she had and doing everything herself nowdays. Charlotte is much more piano-pop/rock than Sarah Slean but as a result of her doing everything herself, several of her rarity albums arent available unless you see her on tour in America! Which sucks. Charlotte's songs are usually all very big and show off her amazing voice and usually have big build ups and climaxes to them. She too is now using electronica more and more and her most recent song Four Walls is almost like a alternative dance song! Recommended Songs: Four Walls, Everytime It Rains, Lightblinde www.charlottemartin.com Si

Sitorimon Top 20 Chart #2
-------------------------------- Sitorimon's Top 20 Chart #2 -------------------------------- 01) (01) Utada Hikaru - Passion http://img.hmv.co.jp/image/jacket/190/13/6/4/302.jpg 02) (03) Charlotte Martin - Four Walls http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0002JUVYY.01._SCTHUMBZZZ_.jpg 03) (02) Tori Amos - Jamaica Inn http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5194252.JPG%5Dhttp://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5194252.JPG 04) (04) Dead Can Dance - Cantara 05) (15) Sheena Ringo - Identity 06) (19) Bic Runga - Blue Blue Heart 07) (06) Yae - My Dear 08) (10) Sarah Slean - Pilgrim 09) (14) Ayumi Hamasaki - Alterna 10) (16) Imogen Heap - Loose Ends 11) (NE) Hiroko Kokubu - Eternity ~ Memory of Lightwaves 11) (11) Sarah mcLachlan - Possession 12) (05) Kate Bush - Nocturne 13) (NE) Visa Roster - International Karate 14) (NE) PJ Harvey - A Place Called Home 15) (NE) Nobuo Uematsu - The Place I Return To 16) (17) Cocteau Twins - In Our Angelhood 17) (07) Yasunori Mitsuda - Old Smudged Map 18) (NE) Yo$h!taka Hirota - Star-Shape 19) (12) Bjork - Hidden Place 20) (NE) Lisa Gerrard - Swans ------------ Comments ------------ Utada Hikaru stays at number one with her song Passion, of which people may be more familiar with the English version called "Sanctuary", the vocal song for the game Kingdom Hearts II. Passion will be on her fourth album Ultra Blue, coming out in June! Charlotte Martin's manic Four Walls jumps up to no.2 after I heard a lovely live version yesterday and Tori slips to 3 with the beautiful Jamaica Inn. Highest Climber: Bic Runga - Blue Blue Heart. I'm only now starting to get into her latest album, wonderful stuff. Highest NE: Hiroko Kokubu - Eternity ~ Memory of Lightwaves. This is one of the best pieces of piano playing that's graced my ears! I think my chart will be a tad weird because I dont go much for singles unless one of my artists release them so this is pretty much an order of my fav artists with my fav song of theirs at this time. Choosing my top 20 songs is faaaar too hard lol. Sitorimon

Only Monteiro's 2nd retirement in his career - quite a massive achievement! Excellent stats, this season looks to be a superb one and I have to say V8's have made overtaking a bit more possible!
