The Book of British Hit Singles returns
What a pity indeed that he stopped in 1952.... Your post intrigues me and also triggered some questions: 1. You write about 1953 & 1954 and suggests that NME was crap back then, why and what direction are you thinking to better fill these 2 years? 2. Also what are the BFBS charts? I have never heard of these. Are these the Melody Maker charts? 3. Are these BFBS charts somewhere on the web for us to analyze/study? rgds, Art

Why are 4 songs not charted in the UK Top 100 this week?
What a ridiculous UK chart this week. At least 4 records were removed from the list at request of the Record companies, that way crippling the credibility of UK's most important chart. It concerns 2 songs of Lady Gaga 'Do What U Want' and 'Venus', Eminem's 'Survival' and Martin Garrix's 'Animals'. 'Do What U Want' would have charted around #5, where as 'Venus' and Eminem's 'Survival' would have been top 20. Finally Dutch Martin Garrix would have made the top 50 this week. However thanks to ancient tactics of the record labels these songs are not charting this week. Does nobody cry foul about this? <_< or is there something else going on?

Is Billboard's EuroDigital the only current Euro-wide chart?
Every week in the news section of the dutch Mega Top 50, there is an article in dutch discussing the international charts. In this article they also publish a European Top 50 which is based on charts from 40 european countries. You find this on their side: megatop50.3fm.nl and then go to nieuws :cheer:
