It shouldn't matter where her songs chart :manson: as long as her fans like the album...
  2. Doubt it. I reckon it'll be pretty big.
  3. She's never been a successful singles artist tbf. LOA managed to peak at #3 (selling about 300k, and it was one of the biggest selling songs on downloads in '04, but they didn't count towards the chart then) and I'm Outta Love peaking at #6. Aside from that, she was at one point the biggest and fastest selling female album artist in Europe. Without American support, her first three albums all managed to sell around 5 million copies worldwide each, which is a massive achievement (Not That Kind sold around 1.2 million, Freak of Nature's total is now about 1.1 million and her self-titled album has sold around 1.1 million copies in the UK alone - a brilliant achievement for a mainstream artist who has only had 3 top 10 hits.)

It's pretty much wanted I wanted to hear when I heard they had collaborated again. It's pretty poor. :(
  5. I Wanna Go would definitely be a massive hit. It's almost as good as 'Hot As Ice'. :o
  6. I JUST JIZZED IN MY PANTS. IT LOOKS SO FUKKING EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    haha, Sue as Bowie! Brilliant!
  8. Not going to lie, if I can get Friday off work, the first thing that I'll be doing is going down to the highstreet (it's being closed off!) and having a drink.

Blondie used to be brilliant. One of the best new wave bands from the 70's. They haven't made good music in about 20 years though, so I'd doubt that I'd be interested by this. @ Brett-Butler - guilty pleasure? :manson: why?!
  10. Okay, I'll start of with my first one. SRwrg0db_zY Twisted Sister - I Wanna Rock Clearly, the band itself represents everything that went wrong with 'rock music' and MTV in the 80's; think Aerosmith & Kiss. Often established as a glam metal band, I've found some of their material to be insanely... trashy but catchy. 'I Wanna Rock' is an obvious example. ... not even Ziggy would be seen in outfits like that. :( Ahh the 80's.
  11. Just to try and get some discussion going... Surely, every rock fan has some guilty pleasures, whether it's a song or an entire album. Just thought that it would be fun to share!
  12. BRITNEY SPEARS IS POO.
  13. So the 60's didn't exist then? It's only the most important and essential era in the foundations to modern music.
  14. ... I'd like to see them try and topple American Idol now
  15. Good riddance! ... but how did she manage to get herself a US visa, despite having a criminal conviction? :o
  16. I like Shangela. He makes valid points.
  17. Wait.. they're seriously her album covers?: manson:
  18. I think Brit & Rihanna work really well imo..
  19. THIS IS NOT DUBSTEP. ffs. & Nikci Minaj (sp?) is a c**t. Ke$ha sounds great though!
  20. Doing it retro style Tyler!
  21. I think it would be fantastic just to get a more diverse judging panel. Take X-Factor. We have Simon Cowell, his claim to fame being the release of many novelty singles throughout the 90's, his music preferences being Whitney & Mariah. Cheryl Cole - ... to be honest, let's not even go there. Louis Walsh - only has experience with boy bands and Dannii Minogue, fair play to her she's the only judge that gives constructive criticism, yet she doesn't have that life long experience of working within the music industry. Whereas with American Idol, it now has the help of Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M records, has worked with acts such as Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, U2, Patti Smith, and is credited for passing Eminem's mix-tape/demo to Dr. Dre resulting in him being signed and of course, "discovering" Lady GaGa. Steven Tyler, who has been within the music industry now for over 40 years, is the front man of the biggest Rock n Roll band in American histor, has more musical knowledge and experience than the entire X-Factor panel put together, and of course Jennifer Lopez (who I do not rate much), but has had an extremely successful career in music, films and fashion, and am sure is just as good as Simon Cowell when creating your own buisness empire. I heard reports that Ozzy Osbourne was being considered for the X-Factor judging panel. The lead musician who fronted the first ever heavy metal band? Brilliant idea if you ask me.
  22. sXhwYcJLODU Came across this, taken from a couple of months ago at the Kennedy Centre Honors, where Tyler performs some tracks from Abbey Road. Absolutely fantastic performance! Paul seemed to enjoy it also.
  23. Exactly. This years American Idol is by far the best producers Idol series so far (and far better than all series of the X-Factor!). Steven & (surprisingly), J.Lo are fantastic judges! A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes; mentored by famous musicians/producers like Will.i.am, Gwen Stefani, Darkchild, Timbaland, Tricky Stewart, and of course, Jimmy Iovine. The artists are aloud a lot of creative freedom and the public have been exposed to a wide range of different performances from many different musicians/genres of music (The Beatles, Charlie Chaplin, Janis Joplin, Nirvana, Muse, etc.). The show has benefited hugely from Simon leaving it.
