I love Funk music are there any other fans out there?? I really like God Made Me Funk's new single Lay It with Julie Black it's awesome! There new cd comes out today...can't wait to hear the rest of it! What are all the funk fans listening to? anything else i should be checking out???

Hey, I've been listening to Wide Awake a for bit now and just had a chance to see them in Kamloops the other night it was a really good show! They are a must see live act. If you have a chance they are playing the Vancouver and Alberta area for the next month and bit, you should go check them out especially if you are into indie rock sound. Hey! Wondering if anyone is going to the Cutting Edge Music Festival this year? The festival is happening August 1-3 at Bingeman's Fun Park in Kitchener, ON. So if you're in the Toronto/Ontario area, you should definitely consider checking it out. Headlining this year is The Roots, Andrew W.K., Protest the Hero, illScarlett, DJ Andy C, Lady Sovereign, plus a whole bunch more. Is anyone else a fan of God Made Me Funky??? I absolutely love their sound mixing R&B, hip hop, rock and funk…I can’t wait to hear their new songs when their album comes out in July…Melissa O’Neil from Canadian Idol is now part of the band so it’ll be awesome to hear what they’ve come up with!

hey!! just wanted to let you know that nazareth has a new cd - the newz - released in the middle of july. It's fantastic! the scottish rockers can still rock! They're also on tour right now until august 3rd which is awesome!!!! anyway check it out!

Are there any other art of fresh fans out there?? Just wanted to have a little discussion about them. I think they're awesome. It's great to hear artists throw back to the good ol' days of tru hip hop - where it all started. That's what these guys remind me of, but they have a mid of a modern edge to it. "fresh" if you will :) What do you think?? I hear they have a new album coming out on aug 9 called Back To The Earth. Can't wait for that! If you haven't heard of them, i definitely suggest you check them out! you won't be let down.

hey so i've actually just recently started branching out and listening to "world" music. and i have to say, even though I can't always understand the lyrics (i only speak english!), I really am liking it, espeically Bïa (she's from Brazil I think). A friend from work actually gave me a CD of hers that I started listening to and her voice is just beautiful. i find her music to be very relaxing to just mellow out to. I'm thinking of picking up her new CD which i heard is coming out by the end of the month. but anywaysss...i'm actually curious to know how many people out there are into this type of music since I only just started listening to it.

whats up everyone, so seriously, I was just wondering who here has heard of Art of Dying? They're from Canada...really awesome rock band. i mean, they toured with Seether on their UK tour a couple years back and now they're touring with Disturbed. I can't wait for them to come to Canada but I don't know when they're doing that. does anyone here have any clue if and when they'll be playing in Canada? I wouldnt want to miss the chance to catch their show...thanx!
