I love Funk music are there any other fans out there?? I really like God Made Me Funk's new single Lay It with Julie Black it's awesome! There new cd comes out today...can't wait to hear the rest of it! What are all the funk fans listening to? anything else i should be checking out???

Hey, I've been listening to Wide Awake a for bit now and just had a chance to see them in Kamloops the other night it was a really good show! They are a must see live act. If you have a chance they are playing the Vancouver and Alberta area for the next month and bit, you should go check them out especially if you are into indie rock sound. Hey! Wondering if anyone is going to the Cutting Edge Music Festival this year? The festival is happening August 1-3 at Bingeman's Fun Park in Kitchener, ON. hey!! just wanted to let you know that nazareth has a new cd - the newz - released in the middle of july. It's fantastic! the scottish rockers can still rock! They're also on tour right now until august 3rd which is awesome!!!! anyway check it out!

Are there any other art of fresh fans out there?? Just wanted to have a little discussion about them. I think they're awesome. It's great to hear artists throw back to the good ol' days of tru hip hop - where it all started. That's what these guys remind me of, but they have a mid of a modern edge to it. "fresh" if you will :) What do you think?? I hear they have a new album coming out on aug 9 called Back To The Earth. Can't wait for that! If you haven't heard of them, i definitely suggest you check them out! you won't be let down.

hey so i've actually just recently started branching out and listening to "world" music. and i have to say, even though I can't always understand the lyrics (i only speak english!), I really am liking it, espeically Bïa (she's from Brazil I think). A friend from work actually gave me a CD of hers that I started listening to and her voice is just beautiful. i find her music to be very relaxing to just mellow out to. I'm thinking of picking up her new CD which i heard is coming out by the end of the month. but anywaysss...i'm actually curious to know how many people out there are into this type of music since I only just started listening to it.

They're from Canada...really awesome rock band. i mean, they toured with Seether on their UK tour a couple years back and now they're touring with Disturbed. I can't wait for them to come to Canada but I don't know when they're doing that. does anyone here have any clue if and when they'll be playing in Canada? I wouldnt want to miss the chance to catch their show...thanx!

Has anybody heard of Jeremy Fisher? Somebody told me about his video for Cigarette on YouTube and I loveddd it. Anyway, he's playing tonight at Casino Regina and I'm so pumped. I definitely want to try to go but I donno if it's too late...does anybody know about getting tickets?

Hey guys. So I saw an article on the front page of buzzjack that said how Estelle's song "American Boy" ft. Kanye West is now No.2 on the UK charts after being No.1 for the past 4 weeks. I think it's so great the song is doing so well but I was surprised the article didn't mention the fact that the song was written by Keith Harris (drummer for Blackn Eyed Peas). He is such a talented musician and deserves credit! He produced Jully Black's album which won at the Junos and he wrote Estelle's song which is becoming a huge hit! So I just wanted to give the guy a some credit...way to go Keith!

hey guys Does anybody here listen to Cold Driven? They're a Canadian rock band...really good! anyway, I heard a rumour that they are coming to play in Lloydminster on saturday (that's in Alberta for those that don't know). anyway, i'm pretty excited cuz it seems like nobody comes here! but I need more details about the show...i think they're playing at The Cooler, but if anybody else knows some details please let me know. also, if anyone has seen them live i'd love to hear your thoughts. I've heard that they put on an incredible performance live but ti's always good to hear first hand accounts!

I really like "Diamond Ring" anyway, just heard he's touring in BC currently! I live in Ashcroft and apparently he's playing at the Ashcroft operahouse tonight and tomorrow so I think I'm gonna catch tomorrow's show! it's great to support our amazing Canadian talent!

i heard about this group - God Made Me funky cuz they were up against Jully Black for a juno and i figured id check them out. I can't believe i hadn't heard of them before cuz they are soo soo good!!! their music is sooo full of energy and makes you want to dance to it. I totally can't wait to see them live!! It is going to be an amazing show!!!! im checking them out in St. Catharines (ontario those who don't know where it is........but you should) on april 24th at the Mansion house. is anyone going to the show or just excited about the band as amuch as me???????

Hey guys and gals, So I'm going to The Blue Seeds toronto showcase on tuesday and i just really wanted to see who else was either going to it or enjoys their music? I don't even really know how to classify their music lol but it's sorta pop (i'd almost say they might fall into the same kind of music category as Feist?). ANYWAYS...they're really awesome in my opinion. Whenever i feel like chilling out and just relaxing I put on their CD. my fave song is "Lost & Delirious". But yeah, anybody else going?

Hey guys, I have a little something that will make the Beatles fans and documentary buffs quite happy! I'm a huge fan myself becuase I grew up listening to the Beatles and my Dad just told me about this music documentary that aired back in the late 70s/early 80s. Anyways, apparently its great and features interviews with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and lots of other greats! It's never been previously released on DVD but it's finally coming out in May which I'm excited about because I love documentaries. anyways, just thought there might be a few others that might also interested!

I love music, espeically the guitar. I've always wanted to be able to play but guess I just didn't have the talent! anyway, that's one of the reasons why I love Jesse Cook so much! I think he is honestly one of the most talented guitarists out there right now! Listening to his CD just relaxes me because the guitar playing is just amazing. Plus, he's got some good songs with other singers as well which are really good. I was excited to see he was nominated for two Junos...he should have won! But at least I got to see him present an award!

I wanted to let people from East Coast Canada about the Music Managers Forum thats happening on Feb 9th in Fredericton part of the ECMA's. I went last year to the forum and learned alot from the managers that helped my band out. They were soo informative. there were managers from all levels of bands, and they were able to share experiences and lessons they have had over the years. I can't wait to go back this year to learn more. Is anyone else going, or has heard about it?
