  1. yeah  i love that show, some great celebs doing some great dances

even if it does clash i will watch Leona

I don't think it will clash. Leona will be singing on the results show which is on a few hours after SCD finishes.

  2. ^^ so basically you prove my point, it aint no bleeding love and so i dont see why most people think its a sure fire no1.

Many songs are "no Bleeding Love"s but get to #1. ;)

Most people thought it was a sure fire No.1 weeks ago, cos no new about 'Hero' and it was also assumed Leona would be performing on X Factor the weekend before the single came (which hasnt happened, cos she hasnt performed anywhere, lol).

Tbh if the 'Hero' song was not around, she would have hit no.1 anyway, but alas No.2 it will be!

p.s. Leona is in both top 10's for radion and tv airplay!

Exactly. Leona has performed on two shows (National Lottery and GMTV) but it's not great promo by any means. I don't think the label care that much where FM charts as top 5 is pretty much a given. They'll be focusing more on sales for Spirit:Deluxe, especially up to Christmas. That's why Leona's on X-Factor two days before the release of the deluxe and she is most likely performing 'Run' to promote it. If they cared about FM she would have been on XF this week.

  3. ^^ because she is only no11 on the irish itunes, its not a great song really, i mean its hardly got the same buzz as bleeding love has it? Its also been available to hear for what seems like forever. Its not even getting that good airplay is it?

It's been out in Ireland a few weeks now. It's top 10 in airplay and your opinion about it not being a great song is subjective. Of course it doesn't have the same buzz as Bleeding Love, that was to be expected. I think it will get #2 behind 'Hero' personally.

  5. Why on earth wasn't 'Boring' included on the actual album and not just a bonus track? It's a fantastic song and has great humour which is what the album needed a bit. Some reviews have commented that it's a bit too dark and sad. I think they should have cut one of 'Crystal Ball' or 'Glitter In The Air' and had that as a bonus track. 'Boring' should have been in the initial tracklist.
  6. I really wanted a tour next year but I guess they want more material and two albums under her wing. She desperately wants to tour and has said it in a few interviews so I don't think it's her choice to hold off. :( They did the same strategy with Mariah; I saw an old interview on GMTV and she was talking about making two albums before touring.

What's the best thing about being back in the UK?

Definitely the family, the friends. It's just being home.

Are you re-releasing Run [the cover you did] as a single?

For now it's just part of the album but I'll be doing a few performances of it on TV and it'll be available to download. We'll just see how it goes.

Are you working on another album?

I am towards the end of the year, very soon actually, and next year with the hopes to be out next November.

    Who are you working with?

On this album it's kind of going for a more live feel so I'm working with a few different bands which I won't mention now. You'll find out soon enough, it's a different direction.

There'll be ballads too. That's my thing. But it'll have a bit of an edge to it. It's always good to keep it fresh and try new things.

Were you gutted you missed the Mobos?

I was really gutted but I had previous commitments outside the country from a long time ago so I couldn't really break them.

The two awards were amazing so I was really happy about that.

Were you upset when you heard about what happened? [the booing]

Yes. The thing is that everyone that didn't turn up got an iffy reception. I had commitments and I couldn't really break them. I wish I could have been there.

I was there last year and support the awards but unfortunately this year I couldn't be there.

You're going back to X Factor - how will that be?

Gosh, really nerve wracking. I went back there last year. That was the most nervous I've probably ever been singing.

This year I think I'll be nervous, but I will be a little bit more confident. It's just going back to where it all began, going onto that stage and having the judges there.

What's been the highlights since you've been in the States? Did you perform with Justin Timberlake?

Justin had an event on called Justin And Friends and I was invited to perform, along with Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Rihanna, Will.I.Am.

I was really, really honoured to be a part of that. It was loads of fun, I got to speak to Justin and I might be doing some work with him. So it was a very cool event to be at.

And what's your plan for next year - a live tour?

Live tour will probably come the year after next. Next year is album. Album then tour.

  8. ^ Yeah I think so. :) Leona confirms 'Run' isn't being released as an official single:

For now it's just part of the album but I'll be doing a few performances of it on TV and it'll be available to download. We'll just see how it goes.

I think they expect it to do well on downloads.

Probably "So What" still, but "Please Don't Leave Me" and "Sober" are up there. I can't believe this album has got mixed reviews, I think it's possibly her best and that's after two listens. Also, why is "Could've Had Everything" on this? My album doesn't have it, it's got a song called "Boring" instead.

When I downloaded the leak it had 'Could've Had Everything' on but yeah my actual CD has 'Boring'.

  10. Looking to debut at #3 in America:

The week’s top debut will be P!nk’s Funhouse album on LaFace/ZLG, which offers love/hate valentines about ex-husband, motocross rider Carey Hart, including her first-ever #1 single, “So What.” With projected sales of 160-170k, the resurgent diva appears headed for a #3 bow, just ahead of Grammy-winning G.O.O.D. Music/Columbia soul crooner John Legend’s Evolver, which projects to between 140-150k.
And just for comparison, here are some of her other album debuts and sales:

    I'm Not Dead Pink 126,143 #6 4/22/06

    Try This Pink 147,500 #9 11/29/03

    M!ssundaztood Pink 220,175 #8 12/08/01

It'll be Pink's highest charting album though and bigger sales than I'm Not Dead. Here are her album debuts thanks to Pulse:

    I'm Not Dead Pink 126,143 #6 4/22/06

    Try This Pink 147,500 #9 11/29/03

    M!ssundaztood Pink 220,175 #8 12/08/01

  12. US Digital Chart:

    Last week: #17: 55,845

    This week: #18: 47,906

    Total sales: 861,962

Going to fall on Hot 100 this week, looks like #11 is its peak. Such a shame it was so close to top 10 but it's had a great run and was a great single choice. :)

After appearing on ITV's Saturday Night Divas last year, Leona is performing again when the show returns. Divas II airs on 23rd November at 8pm and is to mark the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month. It also features performances from Pink, Rihanna, Anastacia, Gabriella Cilmi, Sugababes and Dionne Warwick. The show was filmed last night and a member of one of the Leona fansites attended:

    OMG. I am back.

    LEONA SANG RUN :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It was incredible. She had a full length black dress, a 12 piece string section, two guitarists, a person playing piano and a choir of 15 people joined her onstage at the end :)

    I honestly got goosebumps :)

    Here is the tracklist

    Sugababes - Girls

    Leona - Run

Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me

    Pink - So What(on Video)

    Rihanna - Disturbia(On Video)

Anastacia - Left Outside Alone and a new one from her album

Dionne Warwick - What The World Needs Now Is Love and Thats What Friends Are For to finish.

And a picture he took of the set:
