I didn't get the video at all. This whole release is such a non-event. The song is just not single material and I don't think many people care about it.

Leona isn't a producer. :huh: Why would she contact Avicii? She will have assumed that Sandy Vee had got it all sorted beforehand. Yes look at Alexandra Burke, currently flogging watches on the Argos channel. :rolleyes:

Absolutely love this. Very Glee but I love Glee so it's right up my street. Big hook, appeals directly to their fanbase and differentiates them sonically from JLS and The Wanted. This will be huge.

It's an alright video but not her best. Her budget must have been limited after Nobody's Perfect but I feel they could have done a lot more with the video and made it funnier.

This film is truly incredible. Natalie Portman is amazing and so are the rest of the supporting cast. It's a film where you pick up something new every time you watch it as well.

I think he wants to be the main artist. So Avicii (ft. Leona Lewis) and obviously Syco don't want that. :P The court case has been adjourned until next Tuesday due to "new evidence and time constraints." I wonder what the new evidence is. Hopefully it can be settled out of court now.

It wasn't blatant plagiarism at all. It was simply a miscommunication. Avicii sent out his instrumental for writers to use, he just didn't want someone as big as Leona and having her name put on it. The lines are very blurred but Avicii being credited on the song means it definitely wasn't 'blatant plagiarism.' Hopefully it goes Leona's way tomorrow. If not I think they will just release the video and treat it as a buzz single. Then let things die down before the second single comes.

It's an alright video but I expected her to get wetter towards the end. :P Seemed like a missed opportunity not to turn the sprinklers on and have her dance completely soaked like Leona at the end of the Bleeding Love video.

I didn't like her hair either but it was a wig thankfully. She was great in the interview. :)

About time! Now Capital is on board and the video is coming soon, I'm feeling a lot more positive about this. :)

You & I charted really well when the album was released (didn't it go top 10 on iTunes?) so that has probably persuaded the label to go with it. Unfortunately it's not that radio-friendly at all so I can't see it connecting with the general public. We'll see though, maybe the video will be amazing although I'm not holding my breath after the Edge Of Glory fiasco.

That would be a compromise but I'm not going to believe yet when it is just based on an anonymous comment.

From what I can gather, it seems to me that Avicii is unhappy with this being a 'Leona Lewis' release. When he sent it out to writers to write over, I think he just wanted some anonymous person to put a vocal over it and then it would be 'Avicii - Collide', for example. But as it's Leona and she is the one who is credited as the main artist, I think that's where the issue lies.

I agree with this. Some people are panicking saying it is damaging Leona's reputation but it really is just getting the attention of online blogs. Even the first article in The Sun wasn't that big or scathing. I don't think the general public care either way as long as it's a tune (which it is.) I just hope radio still supports it as that's my only concern at the moment.
