I used to think like you too when i was 18... I'd heard the Beatles so much growing up that i wa sick of them. Took me a few years to truly appreciate what an amazing band they were. Incidently the kind of music i liked when i was 18 (1992) i'm not so fond of now.... other than nostalgia!

You can never tell. Pop songs take longer to be regarded as classics. And having a number 1 and selling loads often guarentees people get sick of the record. Umbrella is such an example.... Sometimes little know songs of their time become classics. Look at Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy. A Top 20 hit in 1991 was voted Best song of all time by Radio 1 listeners 6/7 years later and it frequently features in European media, being placed highly on lists of "the best songs of all time"

There is a campaign by Rangers fans to get the Best to number 1. The song is played when the team comes out.

No chance that should happen. The chart should be the most popular songs regardless of when they were recorded/released

The Coldplay and Jay-Z track has the potential to be number 1. It's released on 10th November i think

It is Scott Walker. It's very like Muse's Knights Of Cydonia. A definite Top 5 hit i think & with the Arctic's fan base & strength of the song could make it a number 1.

It's a number 1. Most people will be familar with the advert in the first place. The vocal adds to the track.
