  1. This is wonderful. Hopefully they break the curse of DNQing each time they send a song in Greek.
  2. I’ve been thinking about it and the season has its own right to be and it might even be important. In a grand scheme of things wouldn’t you appreciate later seasons more after a dud? Admittedly it’s not the best way to start another competition but drag race fans are loyal so it’s not like we won’t watch season 2 like come on now! 😂 It was a failed first iteration but let’s hope it was the plan all along.
  3. Can't help thinking they could've made it less tame
  4. This is incredible, oh my!

Not much can be expected from a force pretty much only motivated by either greed and self preservation. The part that’s feeling guilt is already putting down the arms.

I was just thinking of how Repuglicans [sic] and Russia's Putinators are extremely similar so is this just silent approval?! Which is super weird to think about as Russia's official POV is that all of the US is an enemy. In a nutshell they all want the same thing - go back to the past and normalise racism, homophobia and fascism again. It's just in the US there's strong liberal opposition that doesn't let this go too far and people there *actually* know what freedom feels like. Russia in this sense is extremely sad because we are taught from a very early age that we are basically nothing but a child-birthing machine created for some mysterious greater good and anything outside of conservative (and in most cases backed by religion) 'norms' cannot even be talked about. I kinda blame a combination of both capitalism and Russia's severe self hatred.
  7. I can, however, imagine a show with 10-ish contestants and 10 different countries down the line, the way how fast this franchise is evolving and growing. That would be an incredible watch. Hopefully not hosted by Rupaul because there's more to drag than what we are used to looking at the Western queens. So far I only trust Rupaul to judge the US seasons and UK (the latter barely though :') ).
  8. Drag Race is a franchise and isn't centralised so I'd rather have 'X vs The World' which clearly shows that particular edition's country of origin rather than 'RPDR: The World Edition', 'Drag Race International', 'Drag Queen of the World', etc. To me titles like 'Drag Race International: X Edition' wouldn't work as it will become oversaturated and will defeat the purpose of an international competition (of which there can only be one).
  9. Willow is such a superstar, I really can’t see past her winning this entire thing. Let’s hope her lipsyncing is good as well and Jorgeous isn’t dragged to the top 4 alongside Willow, Bosco and Angeria (because let’s face it, they already made the top 3). Hoped it would be Deja’s week but alas the judges continue to ignore her. This double chantay is clearly a confirmation that Jorgeous doesn’t have a gold chocolate bar and they want her to make it further FOR A REASON I STILL STRUGGLE TO UNDERSTAND 😅 Jasmine was the winner of that lip sync come on now
  10. the last days have been a really messy shitty anxious terrifying time for me so i don't think i'll be able to vote in the final. just putting it out there so that you don't count on my votes over here, unfortunately : (
  11. This album is not one of my favourites but it's very good nonetheless. I'll be getting back to it later to see if anything can grow on me. The Teen Dream through 7 album sequence was SO strong that I don't really care if they don't exactly blow my socks off with this.

The more I think about it the more Putin seems like a petulant scared (key word here for me) individual with unresolved issues from childhood and insecurities about his a bit less than average height that got buried so deep he spiraled into being a literal psychopath. And that's more of a clinical term, not judgement. Quite fascinating if you take it out of context of him literally murdering people using money he stole.

That's the thing. You don't have to learn from history if you rewrite it completely and that's what he's been after for years already, it just became pretty obvious now. The official propaganda materials about this """military operation""" were already sent out to schools so it must be true, right?
  14. Wait, the results happened yesterday?? A reminder would’ve been great as past week has been quite insane :(

Big brands are closing business with Russia, some banks are being turned off SWIFT, any fake news about this war (they REALLY don't like to call it this, that is merely a 'military operation') online can get you a few years in jail, Wikipedia (!) is on the verge of getting blocked purely due to the Ukraine war article, some of the government officials coming out as shocked at how this has turned out (and APPARENTLY they can't say no to this otherwise they will be facing jail). Putin is literally holding half of the country hostage and the other half is too brainwashed and/or ignorant to see the truth.
  16. Jujubee came across so fake this episode especially at the elimination. She didn’t stick to the runway theme or lip synced well enough but judges didn’t seem to care because she’s Jujubee. I knew right away at the beginning of the season that this is just UK v US and other queens are here as filler. Boring, predictable, meh. But at least this gave us a lot of drama so the season didn’t exactly go to waste.

@1497928772926029827 And now onto the usual 'British MPs saying stupid things' segment of this show.

Literal quote from one of the protest signs in Berlin that I've seen today.
  21. I for one loved the challenge even though it was a bit too narrow in terms of outside interest. It was very subtle but most queens managed to do it right. I agree though, it would’ve been better to have the original verses and not something pre-written
  22. I thought Jorgeous was actually very decent in the challenge. But that runway. Good god, it’s just same thing over and over. She’s by far the weakest runway queen left. I though Willow was really good at the challenge. She knew the choreo and played her shtick. Maybe it wasn’t quite as obvious and in your face but she was great to watch. Glad Jasmine stayed. And that she was given a redemption storyline. But tbh I thought she was likeable from the beginning and Kornbread was always the one in the wrong during the talking too much argument.

That’s one (pathetic) way to justify UK’s xenophobia and racism. And it’s sad to see someone justifying or pretending this is even a way to go in our current globalised world. Also, will Poland be able to take ALL the refugees? Of course not.

It’s not just a “territory”, it’s a country with real people.
  25. The way they changed their initial decision within a few hours makes me think they probably need to make better hiring decisions instead.
