The venue’s incredibly poor and deeply unfortunate owners will have to close it down because they will lose so much of the business. Do you think they can just reschedule a different artist to his spot instead?! That’s not how concerts work, ladies! It’s by far the worst thing that’s happened to them and Rihanna. Why does no one think of venue owners, the artists and the money they charge people? The only thing UK law system can charge is for crimes you didn’t commit! So inconsiderate and selfish given this was like in 2023, and the bottle attacked him first!!1 Thoughts and prayers to Christopher Brown, the venue owners who will lose their business forever and people who are willing to spend 200+ quid for a concert of an ab*ser in this incredibly tough time. :(
  2. yeule and Banshee are the only songs I knew going into this and what a great choice for bjsc, both artists were on my radar for this too x
  3. *Uploads 78 videos on YouTube to promote in each of the participating countries using taxpayer money*
  4. Yeah I think people didn’t like Jamala winning hence the unfortunate drop. I also agree that that year was weak overall too.
  5. Elëdan News report that two of the delegation members have gotten engaged, married and divorced on a plane during the ongoing limbo stage and one person gave birth. He was not pregnant at the time of the takeoff.
  6. Losing 40% out of 100 streams is not that big of a number lol
  7. The number of Belgium 2024 SF votes is almost x2 higher than in 2025. Guess which year they were in the same SF as Israhell?
  8. Twitter is so dumb slow if you don’t have an account, doesn’t let you even see the comments. Maybe for the better 😅
  9. Love the broadcasters announcing some action, now follow through plz x
  10. Let’s also not ignore the fact that Tommy Cash was probably the most recognized and popular name out of all the contestants this year, at least in Eastern Europe. A colleague of mine who is a self-described casual viewer (and of only the final) was obsessed with this song before the contest, she got introduced to it online somehow. I guess it was also heavily promoted on Instagram and TikTok, it helps that Tommy has 1M on each of those.
  11. We want the semifinals!!!!1 We want it now!!1
  12. Fingers crossed the contract isn’t renewed this year and will end at 5 years. :/
  13. Hopefully casual viewers won’t pay too much attention to this result outside of Eurovision week itself and I want to believe Eurovision won’t play much of a role in their public image. Boycotting is a powerful tool but we need much higher numbers to see any effect unfortunately.
  14. It’s a lost battle trying to counteract those votes though, as it’s way too diluted just like Harve pointed out earlier in one of the threads. We would have to campaign for a small pool of contenders we would choose therefore rigging the results even further. :/ Really the only plausible way to battle the current situation is to introduce the against-vote or of course ban Israhell altogether. The latter being much more effective and fair.
  15. Israhell was 1st only because of purely politically driven campaigns by right-wing people who don’t watch or support Eurovision in any way. It’s not a legitimate results in any conceivable reality so your strawman attempt doesn’t really work.
  16. I’m shocked that the broadcasters don’t have access to the detailed voting stats and are even being denied those upon request. EBU are really choosing one single broadcaster’s hill to die on over literally everyone else and for what exactly? Moroccanoil? Is the situation with potential big sponsors really that dire? It’s so bizarre to claim the reason for this is Eurovision being apolitical while making or allowing multiple political statements left and right.
  17. I don’t know if any of Croatia 2024, Finland 2023 or Sweden 2025 can necessarily be described as gimmicky, just if you take the staging into account, but that’s what makes the songs memorable. They were catchy, fresh and interesting on their own and screamed amazing memorable winners that can stand the rest of time. I’d rather them winning than the likes of Måns/Loreen 2023 with their polished forgotten in 5 years entries. Without these ‘gimmicks’ Eurovision will lose its soul and die very quickly.
  18. Yeah we’ve been flip flopping like crazy lately blaming juries but now they are saving the contest from the Isrademise 😅
  19. Yeah I also thought UK would get at least some attention from the public. Hopefully next year more attention will be paid towards the story and the staging because the performers were great vocally and in terms of stage presence.
  20. It’s insane how israhell got like 90% of the possible votes in the semifinal which might be a record, I haven’t checked it though. It’s really laughable.
  21. In terms of the stats, I’m living for 3rd, 12th and 21st positions matching their running order, being equidistant and also alphabetically sorted by country name. 12 songs in total finished within 2 positions of their running order spot :’)
  22. “I’ll show them how not far-right I am by siding with the far-right!” teas. The reason people vote for a genocidal country is just to spite the annoying woke with their liberal pro-Arab agenda? Without context this is a deeply childish and nationalist act and does its job in helping the far-right get ignorant low-key racist people from the fence further to their right. Having lived in Germany for a while now, I ‘get’ them and their decades-long guilt brainwashed into the population from birth but the rest of Europe being so nonchalant and cruelly silent about the whole thing is insane. :(
  23. The top 4 here matches my top 4 almost exactly, with Erika also at number one. Queen 🥰
  24. Introducing anti-vote that cancels out each pro-vote (with results being a total) would solve the Israhell situation as well as create more €€€ for EBU. Win-win! Now that is the voting in which I will participate 😂
