Have you listened to Femme Fatale? Best album in AGES. Granted, I know she's probably had very little input into the actual songs, but it's Britney. Who cares?! :D
  2. 35. Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams (44) (CR-57-44-38-43-44-35) This needs to climb Richard!!!

Haha yeah I accidentally did two charts in one week, and I've been a few weeks behind a few times so it all got a bit f***ed up and I couldn't be bothered to go back and edit it all! At one point I was about seven weeks behind and considered just scrapping it altogether, but thought it'd be a shame to put six years of all this to its end!

I'm absolutely LOVING this right now. If we don't win, I really really want this to because it's utterly fantastic! I've got all my friends loving it, we get it played when we're out and about on the gay scene and everyone is absolutely loving it. I'm just watching a live video of her now, and she seems to be getting better, so I really hope she holds out on the night!

REALLY liking this atm! Possibly one of my favourites right now.
  6. The Czech Republic might have sent three very "notable" acts, but didn't they receive a grand total of ten points through their three entries? I can't remember their 2007 song, but their 2008 one was ruined by the "revamp" and I won't even mention 2009 because it was horrendous... Andorra perhaps should've gone through in 2007, but all of their other songs have been very average. Although I did like 'Casanova'... And I think comparing these to the "wealth of talent the UK music industry has" is slightly irrelevant for the Eurovision... Most of our acts from the past ten years would be passable for an Andorran entry tbh. I see your point regarding having to show the final etc. But tough...how many non-ESC fans are really that bothered who wins if they're not in the final, really?

  8. The exciting element was having each country read out all of their scores. And that's not going to happen with it being in the current state. It hardly makes countries like Andorra, Czech Republic and Monaco feel "alienated" - they should just try harder. Countries aren't going to withdraw just because they can't vote in the final, let's be honest.
  9. Why is it unfair though? They haven't qualified for the final, therefore why should they have a say in who wins really? The year when Serbia & Montenegro got disqualified and they were still allowed to vote was a complete pisstake too. Just having the finalists vote would bring back the excitement of the voting once again, where it is likely to be a closer finish. Look at 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2003 for example - all pretty close finishes with the winner being decided on the final few votes. Then you have every year since 2006, where the winner has been pretty obvious from about 25 or 30 votes out of 40+. Not good.
  10. How about ditching the non qualifying countries' votes altogether? I've always disliked the fact all 40+ countries can vote in the final; seems pretty illogical.
  11. Here's mine. :kink: 1. United Kingdom (242) 2. Bosnia Herzegovina (188) 3. Bulgaria (185) 4. FYR Macedonia (155) 5. Albania (151) 6. Estonia (137) 7. Russia (131) 8. Netherlands (130) 9. Latvia (109) 10. Armenia (105) 11. Lithuania (101) 12. Finland (96) 13. Spain (95) 14. Ukraine (70) 15. Denmark (69) 16. Belarus (66) 17. Serbia (64) 18. France (60) 19. Poland (56) 20. Slovakia (56) 21. Greece (55) 22. Germany (55) 23. Norway (54) 24. Croatia (45) 25. Italy (19) The United Kingdom took off during the last ten votes or so. This was with the votes set to how well I thought they'd do too...
  12. Well that's settled then. We may as well not bother watching the contest until 2015 now. :( I'll get the flights and hotels booked though, thanks ESC EXPERT! :magic:
  13. What on earth is this ridiculous argument seriously? You're spouting utter rubbish I'm afraid "ESC Expert".
  14. Sweden could go either way tbh, but I was really struggling last night, as apart from the UK and France, I really don't know who has the ability to finish top five! These are only initial predictions anyway, I'll do it all again in a few weeks when I've got another spare few hours.
  15. Anyway... here is my initial prediction for the final. United Kingdom 279France 261Sweden 225Azerbaijan 195Estonia 183Bosnia-Herzegovina 175Denmark 140Norway 100Hungary 97Israel 91Russia 87Turkey 84Italy 74Germany 73Greece 68Austria 62Finland 58Croatia 45Albania 39Slovenia 36Belarus 36Bulgaria 31Poland 23Slovakia 17Spain 15 Seriously difficult!
  16. ESC EXPERT... Lena's song was most definitely quality. You appear to be defining 'quality' as a classy sort of song, as the United Kingdom, Iceland and France all had in 2009. And if you're going by that, then France's 2011 song falls into the same category anyway. You're forgetting they also voted overwhelmingly for the quirky 'Fairytale', a song not too dissimilar from 'Satellite' in terms of its audience reach... I don't really understand what sort of point you're trying to make here, that the whole thing is fixed for Germany and France to win? There will always be these ridiculous fix allegations, but that is SERIOUSLY clutching at straws. And besides, the 2010 juries also voted overwhelmingly for 'quality' songs such as Belgium, Georgia and Israel. Your whole argument is flawed tbh.

Finland's alright, I've massively gone off it though. I can see it doing relatively well, but whoever decides to send the boy with a guitar next year will be destined for failure... As for the current odds, really can't understand how Estonia are so high! It's a great song, indeed, but any other year that sort of song has odds as long as 33/1, so I'm not sure why Estonia are any different this year. France...well, I can't see them winning either. These opera songs are always tipped to do well - Bonaparti.lv, Malena Ernmann - but rarely do much... That said, I think the French song is better than the aforementioned two, and that Slovenian entry from a few years ago, so they could well end up top five. We're going to win though, end of. :smoke: I genuinly think WE CAN as well! I really don't see who can stop us... Russia's song has failed to live up to expectations, and the Azeri entry just seems to lack something. Like Rich said above, I can't see people going out in their droves to vote for them. Blue, on the other hand, are both audience and jury friendly. We have a decent position in the draw, and I truly think we're going to do it this year. I think I'll actually cry if we do as well.
  18. It needs a revamp tbh! I don't think much to the song tbh, and if it was sung by anyone else I'd be predicting a non-qualifier right now.
  19. Oh no, Belarus is FAR better than the Netherlands! As for victory...I reckon we're going to do it. I actually truly believe we are going to win this year. Azerbaijan will be in the top three, Russia in the top five and Sweden and France will be floating up there too, but I really think we have the best all round song to take the title. Perhaps I'm getting a bit carried away, but I really can't see Azerbaijan quite managing to win with theirs.
  20. I LOVE BELARUS. This song is going to be permanently stuck in my head for the next few weeks I can tell. What are you thinking about their chances?
  21. I've only listened to it a couple of times. Was pretty horrendous from what I remember, and such a shame given the past three Icelandic entries. :(
  22. Ok then...inital predictions from me. Prepare for some drastic changes in the next few weeks though! Oh god. I'm loving this. :( Sailing into the final methinks!
  24. It is yes. ^_^ I'm not sure if they're doing the final draw as well though tomorrow, as I've only seen the semi final draws being mentioned anywhere online. If they're doing that thing where countries can choose where they perform in the semis, I presume they will do the finalists as well to make it fair.
  25. Mehhh not too keen on this song tbh. Can't see it troubling the top five anyway...
