Perhaps I should’ve done for this one! 🤷🏻‍♂️ The name was totally uninspired back in 2008 and didn’t mean anything to me. In fact, I think I just came up with it in a couple of minutes. Didn’t want to change it after winning III though!

When I entered RUFUS I completely forgot they'd been entered so recently! Nevertheless, I've been sitting on 'You Were Right' since coming back to the contest last year when I sent Timeflies instead, so now felt like the right time to do it. Especially when I got vetoed with Dagny. Not heard any of the others yet, but looking forward to listening to them in the morning!

Hard to believe this is the 100th contest. I rarely take part in any forum discussions nowadays, but it’s amazing to see how far the contest has come since we brought it to BuzzJack back in 2008. Presently, BJSC is my main source of current music, and it’s brilliant in its current format.

Great winner (and runner up). Must say I’m surprised ‘Vulcano’ did it, but very pleased nonetheless.

‘Go 2.0’ is an absolute tune - I thought about sending it the last couple of months, but held off because it sounded like the sort of song people would shun for being a “Spotify hit”. But if people now have it down as a top five potential, then I literally don’t know anymore! Having listened to the rest of the second semi though, it surely must have a chance. Picking a top ten is going to be seriously hard from that bunch.

Started listening to the second semi final this morning, but nothing has really stood out yet for me. Hoping Bhangra can at least qualify this time... bit of a muted plug response by the looks of it, but only a few listeners!

Are the semi finals always this big?! I'm not particularly expecting to qualify this time around - especially with such large semi finals. I've been obsessing over the Amelia Lily song for a few weeks though now, so felt I had to send it as I've been too busy to find much else. Listened to about half of my semi final... a few good ones so far!

Confirmed mine. I thought it might be a potential veto, but to be honest I don't see how it can be, so we'll see how we go!

Incredibly pleased with 14th for Bhangra. My best finish since my hiatus I believe! Coming for that top ten soon...
