I honestly thought Slovakia would get votes all round and runaway with it! Greece went down really well in the hall, and I won't be surprised now to hear that they've won it.

Portugal were the biggest surprises for me! Oh...and Slovakia not getting through. :blush:

Can't believe Slovakia didn't qualify. Truly shocked! I had them down as a runaway winner for this semi final! Aside from that horrendous Russian song, a pretty good result all round though. Quite surprised Finland didn't make it, and I wasn't expecting Portugal to get in there either, but fair play to them. From my BuzzJack predictions I got seven out of ten, but here at home I decided that since Latvia was such an earache I'd ditch them for Belarus, so got eight out of ten in my last minute ones. :lol:

I think Russia will just miss out this time tbh. They're not going to get any votes from anyone who aren't their neighbours, and even then they're only going to get the public vote, and (hopefully) nothing from the juries. I know lines are open from the start as well, but they're still performing in the dreaded second spot. :lol:

I think the main power of Drip Drop is in the long version myself...it's that final 30 seconds that make me absolutely love it. The fact that that's gone from the Eurovision version makes it sound a bit ehhh to me tbh. :(

Ok so here is my final prediction for Tuesday's semi final. I've gone through each country and wildly guessed how they will vote. What can I say, I'm at home and bored! It's a dire song and deserves to miss the top 75, but once again when we come crashing in at the bottom of the pile, the usual politics nonsense will be all over the media as always. And they'll be conveniently failing to mention the fact that no one in the UK liked it enough to buy it, ala 'Even If'. Also conveniently failing to mention we came fifth last year but MEHHH.

I'll be making my last semi-final predictions, complete with a set of scores (boredom alert) tomorrow. Things may have altered quite a bit now that we've had the rehearsals to watch. :D

I went to this school and he was my physics teacher in year ten. I can honestly say that he was a really lovely man, and someone all the kids - in my year anyway - respected. I know who the boy was who got hit over the head, but have never actually seen him. Apparently he wasn't "one of the worst" in the year though. The school's going down the pan anyway, and it is actually situated directly opposite the street that was given the title of the worst place to live in the East Midlands... Mr Harvey was off through illness sometime in 2008/9 I think it was following a stroke, and was apparently rushed back to work as the staff were low or something. He was in no fit state to be teaching at this time at all. You only have to look around on Facebook to see how many groups are in support of him by former pupils - he was someone everybody got on with. A bit more digging and you might be able to find some of the groups saying the boy had it coming to him and deserved what he got! Though I admit that's rather harsh.

Oh good...I had an awful feeling you were going to say my friend then...who is the one on the left. And my friend sleeping with a friend of a BuzzJacker would be tooooo weird! :o :lol:
