  1. Brilliant entry from Belgium. Can't believe they've pulled it out of the bag AGAIN. I can't quite see this winning, but it'll surely finish in the top five.
  2. Bhangra in early confirmation shocker.
  3. It's bloody terrible so far isn't it? I think the UK would do better than a lot of you are predicting though. I'd go for... 01 Italy 02 Latvia 03 Belarus 04 Poland 05 United Kingdom 06 Switzerland 07 Finland 08 Albania 09 France 10 Denmark 11 Moldova 12 Georgia 13 Hungary 14 Ukraine 15 Cyprus 16 Austria 17 Malta 18 Spain 19 Germany 20 Slovenia That Slovenian entry is one of the worst I've heard in years. Horrendous. I won't be surprised if none of Switzerland, Finland, Albania, Denmark, Moldova, Georgia, Hungary, Cyprus, Austria, Malta and Slovenia qualify. Not that that particularly helps the UK, but I do think we'll finish above Ukraine, Spain and Germany at least...
  4. Oh my god BuzzJackFestivalen sounds amazing. What month of the year does this take place?!
  5. Good stuff - I'm surprised we're only on BJSC 93 with the short space of time between contests, but I guess it only works out around one a month all in all!
  6. Got a couple of songs to choose from. When are confirmations opening? Did someone mention the weekend?

  8. Points here and there for Bhangra - thanks to all who voted so far!
  9. Oh yes I'm quite satisfied being the record holder for longest break between contests! Looking forward to the results later on - hopefully there'll be a few surprises thrown in there too!
  10. I'll have to check out some of the more recent winners that I missed out on - my current "new music" playlist is well over 50% BJSC entries from the past two contests!
  11. I have no idea why everyone is predicting Troll to do so well - when winners are generally pretty current, what is going to push people to vote for a dated Swedish 1980s track?! I don't pay much/any attention to which country send which song and don't actually know who Hendinia is, so I don't know if Pavel's claims about the obscurity of the country are true in relation to the eventual success of a song. Hopefully not though! Tone Damli's song is great though and would definitely be a deserving winner. Definitely the "coolest" song in there.
  12. I thought that too - had no idea it was her though!
  13. I think this could hold a few surprises - I found a couple of the songs doing the rounds near the top of the people's odds absolutely awful.
  14. Some of those previous odds are brilliant to read. DJ Bobo favourite in 2007 and Jade Ewen so far down in 2009 are two that stick out! Thinking back, I'd have thought Jade's odds would've been around 6/1 or 7/1. Hope we get an unpredictable year this year, but at the moment I can see the Italian hype gaining more and more momentum. Nothing else selected stands a chance in comparison to that yet. Indeed, if we were to have the final right now with the 13 selected songs, I think the UK would be top two or three! With the possible exception of Poland, I don't think we've got a single semi final qualifier yet either...
  15. Bloody hell this contest seems like five minutes ago. Can't believe it's NINE YEARS. Gutted I missed out on so many between 2009 and 2016!
  16. Sorry to drag this one back up after almost a year, but how pleasing that justice was finally served and Kate Bush claimed the crown here! Remember being very shocked back then that I didn't even qualify with her, so I'm glad someone appreciated it!
  17. f*** ME that 'Saving Light' is a right tune. YES SOUTH DANAELANDA. I've found a good five or six songs here that I'll definitely listen to over the coming months.
  18. Gym five times a week (sometimes four but aim for five, and always in the morning) and generally home workouts in the evenings. Only do weight training as I'm around 65kg and don't put on body fat at all so I have a lean physique. Very satisfied with how it's going this year and my diet is in good form as well. Keeping up constant hard work also means the odd cheat day isn't going to kill you.
  19. Very pleased I'm back in the final - would've been disappointed to miss out with 'Kaleidoscope'.
  20. Really strong semi - made a decent gym playlist this morning too. Only two songs I had to skip as I couldn't deal with the entire song, although I'm only up to song 22... At this rate, Bhangra will be bloody failing to qualify AGAIN!
  21. Disappointing Bhangra lost out so closely - it would appear my top eight all made it through though. Thanks to those who did vote for it.
  22. FRED V & GRAFIX FOR BHANGRA Fred V & Grafix have been selected internally by the national broadcaster of Bhangra to perform 'Tension' at the 91st BuzzJack Song Contest. The drum and bass duo will be joined by producer Metrik and vocalist Kate Westall as they aim to restore Bhangran pride following a series of disappointing results and withdrawals for the country. The last time Bhangra finished in the top ten was at the 19th edition of the contest, back in 2009. Whether or not Fred V & Grafix can match the success of the Dixie Chicks' triumph at the third contest remains to be seen, but the duo are hopeful of qualification. jjZmih5_zDs
  23. Will get mine over tomorrow evening for you - earliest I'll be able to.
  24. Someone has entered PreGomesh? AMAZING. Surprised it hasn't been entered before!
  25. ...has got his sights set on you, and he's ready to aim. wwink
