  1. the hate for missing you is a joke
  2. to be fair... Girls Aloud were out of order from June 2009 - October 2012 and Sugababes had a line up change every album near enough toward the end
  3. reading through this thread over the past two weeks has been utterly depressing, yes, I too am gutted the song hasn't picked up or been targeted by radios as the summer anthem. however, you have to remember the girls have been around since 2008, so many bands have come and gone in that time (JLS, The Wanted etc) but now I'm starting to think the girls have reached a stage where it goes one way or another... the days of X Factor performance discussions, number ones etc. has gone, really gone. It's a cycle all bands go through and its a natural path for a pop band.. especially one that's not had any major breaks from the spotlight or line up changes etc. The Sats are literally at a point where they go, hey girls, we did it! No big tv show launch and 18 hit singles, a number one, four top ten albums, arena tour, US tv show.... or they go down the 'mcfly' path where they continue - for the celebrity/fans/endorsements/tv and mag appearances etc. and the music is something they do on a smaller scale to please the fans. Radio moves on, TV moves on but we remain. and i think a lot of people here need to face up to that and accept it for what it is. just as a last note: Spice Girls 1996 - 2000 (5 years, with 18 month break) S Club 7 1999 - 2003 (5 years) JLS 2008 - 2013 (6 years) Atomic Kitten 1999 - 2004 (6 years) a1 1998 - 2002 (5 years) Wanted 2009 - 2014 (6 years) The Saturdays 2008 - Present (7 years+)

  10. so from that interview... * no plans to record the Greatest Hits tour for DVD. but they do plan on releasing the AFU Tour DVD :manson: * lots of tv performances (hope this means not the two we had for Not Giving Up!) * radio tour looks likely * no current plans to release a second single from Finest Selection. I guess if it goes platinum that will change things * they hope to release another album by the end of the year * her favorite single is Higher or Notorious * her favorite album is Chasing Lights
  11. if she does BGT she should get a nice batch of pre orders in, which will all help with first week sales. anything below 125k would be a disappointment after FFTL (292k) Promise This (157k) and Call My Name (152k) I like it and its very different. With an XF return too, I think she could push for another 150k first week... we'll also get another "pre album single" in October when TXF live show starts.
  12. not a good start? its a pre-order in the top 50 :s

this remains the dopest greatest hits tv ad
  14. I am sooo excited for the new single. Looks like it could be quite big, glad they have some other stuff going on such as the first choice stuff - its all promo!
  15. any updates on ticket sales - any sold out or anything yet?
  16. Missing You. The girls profiles were at a peak. They were everywhere on radio, tv, mags.. it kind of was the peak promo between Ego and Higher too so it was three masssive singles that everybody knew in a row. Notorious kind of killed that off being OAOS, thus resulting in a poorer return with AFU and more so MHTO.
  17. ooops sorry! yeah Sound of Girls Aloud.. I saw a tweet that read "ga sold 1m copies of their greatest hits and it didn't even have as many singles on as the sats one" hahahahahah
  18. looking at ticket sales - they could easily shift 5k that way id say. thats without the causal buyers of the hits and fan sales. I'd say at this stage 20k is more than achieveable first week sales. That would be a #3 this week, but in a very quiet week could score them a #1. Obviously that might change, but there is no reason that this should flop, especially being as the tour is only a month after the album. With the right promo and marketing approach of the label/girls this could be a successful era. But I want to stress that the tweets/posts of it being on par with TSOGA make me lolly hard.
  19. yes that would be such a good idea!
  20. The only ones I need is AFU (signed edition, although Id have it unsigned) and Up! I have the others :( AFU is impossible to get, I have the remixes one and vinyl
  21. Track: What About Us Album: Chasing The Saturdays - EP Why is it your favourite: Its perfect, summery, number one, upbeat, fun, its in my range. I just love it. And its even more perfect Acoustic Rating: 10 Track: All Fired Up Album: On Your Radar Why is it your favourite: Its the moment the Sats grow up. Its critically acclaimed as their best single, it underperformed but I love it and them more for making it. Rating: 10 Track: Missing You Album: Headlines - EP Why is it your favourite: It reminds me of a love I lost, and it takes me back in time to 2010. Rating: 10 If there was 4 it would include My Heart Takes Over. Five would include Disco Love.

A lot of my friends have come in my car and asked "who sings this" "whats this song" - and in work we play vevo on tv and people have said "when did this song come out" - people just don't know about it! Outside of Twitter/Buzzjack/Satsworld there is nothing. No airplay. No promo. Nothing. so the fact they have probably will sell around 40,000 copies with a video made on about a £12 budget - no money was invested in dancers/performances/touring - they never had to leave London to promote the single. It is a terrible shame such a good song has gone to #19 - but at least it charted, The Wanted had a similar single that failed to chart. I agree at least the single will make the hits album and tour, they could have easily done an OYR and just not bothered with a fifth single. It would have been easy enough to just wait till August and the hits parade.
