UGH, i didnt like 'infatuation' at all.... one of the first songs she recorded for 'stripped' too!! probs still in THAT cheesy pop stage... ;) 'Hurt' does have amazing vocals, they couldnt be more perfect BUT i think other songs showcase her ability more i.e. mercy on me, candyman... :wub:

i dont think 'stripped' hit 4 million in the US, just under i think... new chart news... a #1 debut in OZ!! :yahoo: :wub: :cheer:

hmmm, i think the song is just a statement... she did it because people assumed 'love' had changed her, made her more of a lady, alot of the 'stripped' era was about women being independant etc etc.... i think she just wanted to remind people of it and a man wont change her!!

i have not heard anything of this candyman news in croatia in ANY of the big christina sites, so dunno how true this is... :unsure: i just read on a site which quoted another website that christina will be performing a medley of 'enter the circus', 'welcome' and 'candyman' at the VMA's!! sounds good to me, hope its true... :wub: PLUS if she has said she is performing the 2nd single at the VMA's i doubt she would choose a ballad like 'Hurt' to perform at that!! :unsure:
