This is the first episode I've watched of this series. It is all set to be this bollocks all week? As if so, I shall find better ways to occupy my time.

Premier League / Football League Thread 2011-12
What a fucking brilliant playoff final. These last two years have really turned the playoffs from cagey affairs into exciting, fast paced matches. And look at the positives, with Swansea promoted to the Premier League, Liverpool can finally fulfill their dream of playing in Europe next season :D

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
Yeah, but the point was that he wasn't in almighty control. He thought he could save Captain Adelaide by simply rewriting time, but when she killed herself he realised it's not his place to meddle with the fabric of time, hence his little breakdown before running into the TARDIS.

Barcelona vs Manchester United
But Barcelona's defence isn't that incredible really? The entire squad is built around their superb midfield. Now don't get me wrong on Messi, there's no doubt he is a great player, but I still argue that I want to see him perform at the same level in the Premier League. Spain and England have two very very different leagues, and apart from the odd European game and El Classico's he's never actually challeneged. Argentina may have a terrible defence, but Messi didn't score a single goal in South Africa and I strongly believe the main reason for that is because he didn't have the incredible supply of Xavi, Iniestia, Busqets and the likes. They are the ones who make nearly all his opportunities for him. In fact, I'd go as far as to say apart from the odd classic (see his second goal against Real Madrid), he can't really be given that much credit for most of his 53 goals this season. Even his goal against us was easily preventable; fuck knows who thought it was a good idea to give Messi all that space. We deserved to conceed for that.

Barcelona vs Manchester United
Also while we're on the subject of Barcelona, I'm getting so fed up of everyone telling me Messi is the greatest player of all time and that he single handedly destroyed us. Without Barcelona's incredible midfield, Messi would not be half the player he is. To be honest, I believe that a player can't be the greatest player in the world until they come to the Premier League; the most difficult league in the world; and still do it week in week out. Could Messi survive in this country in the same way he does in Spain? I don't think so, and that for me is why Ronaldo is currently the greatest player in the world as he's proved he can do it on two stages. As for the tactics of Saturday night and my Messi rant over, I actually completley agree with what Rooney's saying about the way we played. But the fact is, our squad, and our midfield in particular, is just not good enough to win the Champions League and beat a team like Barcelona. We need some serious rebuilding in the midfield before we can think about winning it again.

Doctor Who: Series 7 +
Clearly you missed the entire point of The Waters of Mars? The ending wasn't there to make the Doctor a villain, it was the moment David Tennant's Doctor realised he couldn't have almighty control over life and death and realised that his time was coming. It was actually a great ending in terms of what it did for his character in the series of specials.

The Hangover: Part II
It is quite similar to the first one, but I think they changed it enough in places to keep it fresh as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it wasn't a patch on the first one.
