I think the major issue with Night Terrors was, as others have said, it was a great build up of tension but it ultimatley came to nothing and an all too easy and confusing conclusion. That said, 'The Girl Who Waited' looks set to be alot better, the Doctor-lite episodes are always ace (except Love And Monsters)

I think the major problem this has suffered is that it's a plot that could easily be done in five parts, done over ten parts which doesn't allow for any plot focus and drags far too much. If 'Children Of Earth' was ten parts instead of five it would have suffered the same thing and not been anywhere near as amazing.
