  1. Thanks Trevs, as usual ;) Big big shame about the Ting Tings  Any idea where they should have been, on last week`s official chart? :D

Thanks Trevs, as usual The 4 of you did well last week really like you said. It was only Katie that caused the "problem". I can imagine with all the info other mistakes occur, such as the albums last week. Just want to thank you and your team, for all the work each week for both this thread, and the Saturday charts too. This Saturday mrib had all the top 40 basically the same, but a bit different from the BBC. No other site, has an updated chart every single day and you make it happen to make Buzzjack in my mind the best chart based site, in the UK. B)
  3. Very early Trevs :D Is it the same break off as usual tho? Shame about the Tings Tings, will it be aloud in next week, on release physically?

  5. Thanks Trevs, nice to see 1983 too. The year I was born  Where is Can`t Speak French then? ;)
  6. What`s the Romeo and Juliet theme on the Valentine chart?

I thought something was afoot when Chartbreakers did not feature, on Sun. I read that Lucio bloke, on Capital say the Hit40 has twice as many listeners now. Probably coz they play 43 songs in 3 hours, and have cut the chat. Although that chart is nonsensical  When did you reckon there could be a major change, Trevs or anyone?

I also find it strange that it was on iTunes, as a download up to 24, yesterday. :o

I heard on the grapevine, that Great DJ by the Tings Tings was disqualified from the chart because, there were a lot of free downloads given away. Can anyone confirm this?

Trevs you were on about the Reynolds Girls. I remembet that song when I started school. When was it released in 89 coz I am sure it came out in 88?

Hey there Trevs I remember the Spice Girls went in at 4 on mrib physical spots. So what happened to Girls Aloud and CTS and Alicia Keys?

This is Angie for Trevs, this week, I was asked by him to do the thread, help! hope I get it right. its just a case of copying an email. Saturday charts, from mrib and msn. Thanks to Dave Taylor (davericktaylor@yahoo.co.uk) as usual. This week we have teamed up with the charts, from 1983, with the connection, that MADNESS were also, in the top 20, back then. Will they make it today though? That`s the question!! The album chart, mrib, no longer count albums that are sold as part, of a sale/budget. Hence the difference in last weeks chart. This week, we were lucky, and Dave, actually managed to put the missing albums, back in. Good for him So, here we go w/k ending 25/01 01 SCOUTING FOR GIRLS - SCOUTING FOR GIRLS 02 THIS IS THE LIFE - AMY MCDONALD 03 IN RAINBOWS - RADIOHEAD 04 BEAUTIFUL WORLD - TAKE THAT 05 LIFE IN CARTOON MOTION - MIKA 06 RAISING SAND - PLANT/KRAUSS 07 HAND BUILT BY ROBOTS - NEWTON FAULKNER 08 BIG TUNES 2008 - VARIOUS ARTISTS 09 MINISTRY OF SOUND ANTHEMS 91 - 08 - VARIOUS ARTISTS 10 SPIRIT - LEONA LEWIS 11 CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE - MICHAEL BUBLE 12 BACK TO BLACK - AMY WINEHOUSE 13 DO YOU LIKE ROCK MUSIC - BRITISH SEA POWER 14 TRICK TO LIFE - HOOSIERS 15 GOOD GIRL GONE BAD - RIHANNA That gives a better picture, but of course slightly different on the official chart, due to the fact that mrib, do not include downloaded albums, in the album chart. I did also note that the MACCABEES, also slid into their top 30, at 27. Don`t think that will get a top 30 place, on the official chart. Without the sales/budget albums, RADIOHEAD reign supreme at the top. Albums in sales ay? could be a thread on its own 1983 Albums. I am intrigue that Adele is even above the iTunes position earlier. :) How come? :D
  19. I say it`s not the music, that is in the chart that makes it boring, to listen too. But the way chart shows are now presented whether Cotton/Yates, JK and Joel, Lucio, even the ageing teenage once known as Foxy on Capital. All of them manage/or have managed to rabbit too much, on the shows no wonder they make mistakes, overactive mouths with out thought/research. I am only 24 recently I listened to some old presenters on tape from my Grandad and the people who presented the chart then seemed to shut up and play the music, with just small facts before/after songs. Most djs stated "that was, this is" with statements such as "up to, down at, straight in at" with various sound effects, and jingles like "num - ber thir - dy four" Shame the jingles didn`t sound the Ts, but it was a fast paced show, with a dynamic sounding entusiatic presenter.

Thank you for all that info Trevs ;) You are always so clued up, and ready to explain things. Before I came across your researched posts I thought that there had been a official forever. Then some others explained about the debatable choice for the charts used pre 1969 in Guiness Hit Singles books. Thanks again :D

At least the album chart, you printed portrays compilations so its possible to see that Clubbers Guide, has overtaken Now 68. On the singles chart I noticed Chart Show TV now feature last Sundays official chart on the Singles Chart on Saturday at 1pm. Why would that be?

Cor, what is wrong with that album chart! I take it Nickelback, is selling virtually no physicals? I caught the 3 download chart, and Nickelback were at no. 4 on there. Soulja Boy, was not in that at all. Something a miss? <_<
  23. abc1 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
It looks like you might be wrong with just Hoosiers, and Mika, Trevs! But looks like you are on the correct lines, of Basshunter going to the top. Good work on the top 3, so far though ;)

I think a station rebroadcasts Luxembourg charts on a Sunday evening. I can`t rememmber which station it is tho. Supose it is difficult to actually be totally acurate in coming up with a spot on chart. A big amount of guessing must have gone on.
  25. The physical chart doesn`t seem to like Rihanna, does it? Has she any outside of the 20?
