  1. Probably - but it couldn't chart due to the downloads rule in force at the time (it could only chart if the physical release came out the following week).
  2. It could have been worse, though - remember the main henchman from Tomorrow Never Dies? I don't think I've ever seen a weaker bad guy.

"Has Remembrance Sunday had its day?" It only will be if someone goes back in time and stops Britain from joining the two World Wars, has all 26 Irish counties breaking away from London, prevents the Falkland Islands from being invaded by Argentina etc. And, much like every year, I bought a poppy and wear it every day - and would do even if my dad wasn't in the Navy during the Falklands War. I'll also be drumming it into my kids as well (when I have them, of course).

Whilst he's good, I still don't reckon that he's worth more than Henry (who was sold for half a million cheaper the day before).
  5. I'm pretty sure that the BBC only showed one R1 and R2 game. Mind you, I don't think they showed the R1 draw either on BBC1. (And I won't be surprised if we have two games on ITV from R3 onwards.)
  6. Whereas TOTP would have had the the Christmas No1. And I doubt we'll love TOTP2 - has anyone there actually sat through it?

Of course - America act like they're God's Gift to the planet and above criticism.
  8. A couple of years ago, Sky Sports choose Macclesfield-Walsall, simply because it was Paul Ince's first game as manager.
  9. I saw this for the first time yesterday, had a look at it, and put it straight back on the shelf. And fancy not having a list of the No1 singles in order. Edit - If the cut-off date is March 29th, what a waste of time (seven months later).

Nah - they were losing 4-1 to Villa last year with 20 minutes left. That ended 4-4 as well.
  11. It's hard to tell which one's worse: Switzerland 2004: 2AuFgRueUSw (Watch what happens at 0:45.) or United Kingdom 2003: Eu5kgSeZHfw I still have yet to discover a more ironically titled song that the Swiss song - it was called Celebrate!, and got nothing from the 32 countries that were voting.
  12. I loved that bit - it basically seemed like Johnjo07 suggested that realising it on the same day worldwide would stop people illegal downloading it. Which it hasn't - the Opening Ceremony of this year's Olympics is available for purchase, yet I downloaded it. AND, unlike if I had brought it, the version I downloaded has commentary on it as well (Australia's commentary, in my case).
  13. I don't think Klinsmann had any experience before taking on the Germany job. And look what happened - third in the 2006 World Cup, and I doubt that it can all be put down to being held in Germany.
  14. But even that has drawbacks - for example, Australia's anywhere between 8 and 11.5 hours ahead of Britain, so they'll be getting it first. Which means that someone can download it and put in on an illegal place. The only way to prevent it would be to release it at the exact same time (for example, if it's released at 12pm in London, it'll be 1pm in most of Europe, 7am in New York and 10pm in Sydney). Of course, that'll only work on the first day - then people can illegally download it on the second day, and thus the problem still exists.
  15. Oh, it gets better - according to one newspaper, he's being considered for promotion. To the international list. Yes, he could be ruining referring European matches and World Cup qualifiers. :manson:
  16. No - that was about how many times you had seen your team play. You didn't have to specify who that team was (I didn't say that the team I had seen 9/13 was Preston, for example).
  17. Celtic and Preston North End. Celtic are the team I've supported since I became interested in football (and not for religious reasons, either). Preston are there because I started watching them when I was at uni, and became a huge follower of them.
  18. No, she isn't.
  19. I particularly hate those that say that teams didn't deserve to get whatever they got. When are people going to realise that football is decided by who scores more goals? FFS, if you want beautiful displays being rewarded, go and watch gymnastics.
  20. IIRC, Now 40 had two All Saints songs, and both were on the same CD. I'm actually surprised that IKAG isn't starting the album.

Seeing as they've still got it at the place I'm seeing Quantum Of Solace tonight, I'm not surprised.

  23. This quote from my ex pretty much sums her current phase up: "Why do you think she doesn't let her kids watch telly?"

No - you know those "mystery boxes" in the DS and Wii versions of Mario Kart (the ones that explode if you run into one)? They'd get that.
  25. Donna Lewis: I Love You Always Forever peaked at No5 in Britain, but spent 9 weeks at No2 in America.
